In ancient books and documents,a large number of citation phenomena can be seen. The citation phenomenon is a clear evidence of the inheritance and flow of traditional knowledge, burying the context and clues of the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture.Citation and being cited is a common way of ancient academic dialogue, and an important medium for observing the development, inheritance, and innovation of traditional culture. The correlation, inheritance, and impact between ancient books constructed through citation relationships are of great value in discovering the development and inheritance of traditional Chinese culture, revealing the knowledge system contained in ancient books, and further enhancing the evidence-based strength of knowledge. From the perspective of bibliography,Zhang Canjia examines the phenomenon of citation from the perspective of "bibliographic description".It is believed that systematic sorting of citations from ancient books will be of great importance to sort out the source flow of ancient versions,to examine the cooccurrence of academic origins,to study the evolution of the development of surviving ancient books, and to compare the interpretation and editing of lost ancient books However, the citation of ancient books has a high degree of complexity, such as explicit and implicit citations, direct and indirect citations,Original citations and cited perspectives, citations and being citations, citations with or without specific content and perspectives,as well as examination of cited sources, which are all thorny issues faced by scholars of past dynasties in their research and citation work. However, the citation documents of ancient books are in a semi structured form, and the linguistic forms of the "quoting person" and the "cited person" in the citation documents are the same, but there are differences in essence. The relationship between the language form and sentence level of the citation and the original text is not clearly indicated in the cited documents of ancient books. These problems have brought great inconvenience to people using computers to analyze and process citation documents in ancient books. These attributes are attributed to the lack of corresponding knowledge representation methods in ancient books. Therefore,we believe that it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the knowledge structure system of citation documents. The knowledge structure of ancient book citation documents requires a new knowledge representation method to represent the knowledge structure therein. Each citation unit in the citation document is expressed in a structured form, and the implicit connection between each citation unit in the citation document is converted into explicit connection,This makes it easy for people to read and study ancient cited documents,as well as for computer processing. From the perspective of knowledge management and knowledge representation,Liu Changhua applied the knowledge element theory to the collation of ancient Chinese medicine books and proposed a"knowledge element based computer knowledge representation method system for ancient Chinese medicine books",providing a basic framework for knowledge indexing and standardized representation of ancient Chinese books.Through the complex knowledge structure of ancient books, the theory is hierarchically deconstructed into smaller knowledge units such as knowledge bodies, knowledge elements, and semantic components.Through semantic relationships, the theory constructs relationships between knowledge units, bringing changes to the knowledge representation and information processing of ancient Chinese medicine books.Within this theoretical framework, the complex citation process in ancient books, traceable to a single citation(Citation knowledgeelement)form,is combined into a TCM ancient citation network(Citation knowledgebody)through semantic association. It is expected to provide fundamental support for the development of relevant studies on TCM ancient citations, especially the involvement of modern citation analysis and other theoretical techniques, thereby improving the evidence-based level of TCM knowledge. The full text mainly consists of the following four parts:in the first part,we analyze the citation phenomena present in the ancient Chinese medicine books, from five perspectives:the way of citation, the way of commendation, the use of objects cited, with or without specific citation content, and the location where the commendation identification is located,to tease out the general laws of the phenomenon of citation in the ancient Chinese medicine books; In the second part, based on mastering the general laws of the phenomenon of TCM ancient citation,a model of TCM ancient citation description is established, which takes the form of a framework to standardize the citation meta data by defining such as citation knowledge element, citation body, and linking of citation knowledge element, and to give the citation knowledge body to parse cases; In the third part,we analyzed the cited phenomena in literatures of various TCM ancient books, combed out the typical cited phenomenon and citation phenomenon of each type of literatures one by one,to further deepen the understanding; At the same time, this section also discusses the development process of the citation phenomenon in TCM ancient books, the general laws and special cases of the citation, the "" spindle phenomenon "" formed by citation stacking, and so on;In the fourth part, based on mastering the general rules of TCM ancient citations, the descriptive items, the contents and the description rules of the model are elaborated by combining the model of TCM ancient citations descriptions established in the previous articles.
