Research On Knowledge Representation Of Ancient Herbal Medicine Of Tibetan Medicine Based On Knowledge Element

Tibetan medicine is an important part of Chinese medical science, which has a long history and a strong theory background. It derives from hand-on experiment and experiences. It is not only the basic of inheriting ancient glories of Tibetan medicine, butalso the essence of the Tibetan Culture. It leaves us a great platform to develop the Tibetan medicine.According to a rough statistics, there are more than 4000 Tibetan medical documents, which has included the rich content of philosophy and the valuable life lessons and it has recorded the theory and the practice of the Tibetan medicine.By the rapid development of the computer, communication and internet development, there is a big change on the production, storage and the way of transmission, and it brings a new level of information spreading. Digital document has some great advantages, which are small volume, high storage density, quantity of information, transmission coverage, high efficiency, and convenient retrieval. To adapt the requirement of the informational network, we transcribe all the Tibetan medicine into the computer for replacing the medical books on the paper. We also set up the platform for sharing the database, and which is a more advanced way to protect and inherit Tibetan medicine forever. It is also a brilliant way to use the resources, and great methods to share and protect.This article is based on the element knowledge of Tibetan ancient medicines. Based on the element knowledge and body knowledge, I have tried to organize by its basic elements, semantic type and semantic relations systematically.(1) Based on the study of more than 20 medicine books, I have tried to sort out by its basic elements, semantic type and semantic relations. Below are the lists of all the 20 books about Tibetan Medicine: 《g.yu thog lugs kyimkhaspa’iphyagbzheszurbkod》、《smanmingrgyamtsho》、《rinpoche’iro nus zhurjesbstan pa》、《smangyiro nus zhurjesbshad pa bee D+Aur+ya’i me long》、《’jam dpalgyisngo ’bum chenmo》、《gsodpyadsngo’i man ngagsngo ’bum》、《gsodpyadsngosnatshogskyi man ngagrinpoche’i ’khrungsdpebstan pa》、《’khrungsdpe g.yu yiphrengba》、《g.yu thogsngo ’bum》、《sngo ’bum smangyigtermdzod》、《bdudrtsismangyirnamdbyengobo nus mingrgyas par bshad pa dri med shelphreng》、《smangyingos ’dzinskor las ’phrospa’i dogs selphranbu》、《smangyi ’khrungsdpengobo nus mingrgyasbshaddngosdpegsalstondri med shelgyi me long》、《phongs pa gsobasngo’isgron me》、《dpalldanrgyudbzhi》、《 smansbyor nor bu’iphrengba’i do shal》、and 《bee D+Aur+yasngonmo》.(2) Setting up the regulations of Tibetan ancient books about semantic metadata specification, and try to identify the specific medical concepts in the Tibetan herbal medicine knowledge system.(3) Setting up the medical body knowledge of Tibetan ancient books and module of Tibetan medical knowledge.(4) Organize the semantic component of element knowledge and sort out semantic types and relations, and develop some index for the element knowledge of Tibetan ancient books.(5) Build up Tibetan ancient material medical knowledge retrieval system based on the study and comparing the related Tibetan medical books.
