Objective To understand the status quo and influencing factors of e-health literacy and quality of life in young and middle-aged stroke patients. The correlation between e-health literacy and quality of life in young and middle-aged stroke patients was analyzed.Explore whether health behaviors play a mediating role.To provide reference for the design of e-health literacy intervention programs and the improvement of life quality in young and middle-aged stroke patients. Methods A total of 248 eligible young and middle-aged stroke patients admitted to the Department of Neurology,Neurosurgery and Rehabilitation of a Grade A hospital in Jinan were selected as subjects by convenience sampling method.General data questionnaire,e Health Literacy Scale(e HEALS),Health Behavior Scale for storke patients(HBS-SP)and The MOS 36-item short-form health survey(SF-36)were used for questionnaire survey.SPSS21.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data, descriptive analysis, independent samples t-test,one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis of the data, and PROCESS v3.3 was used to test the mediating effect. Results 1.A total of 248 middle-aged and young stroke patients were investigated in this study, ranging in age from 18 to 59 years old, with an average age of(47.95±8.59)years old.2.The total score of e-health literacy of middle-aged and young stroke patients ranged from 8 to 37 points, and the scores of each item were between 1 and 4,with the total average score of(2.43 ± 0.85)points.The total score of e-health literacy was as follows: application ability score of network health information and service(12.90±4.69)score,evaluation ability score(4.69±1.94)score,decision ability score(1.83 ± 0.57)score.The average score of application ability of network health information and service was the highest(2.58±0.94)points,while the average score of decision-making ability was the lowest(1.83±0.57)points.There were significant differences in e-health literacy in Internet usage time, daily online time and online searching for health information experience(P < 0.05).3.The total health behavior score of middle-aged and young stroke patients was(60.07 ± 10.18)points,and all the scale items were(2.40 ± 0.41)points.The average score of nutrition was the highest(2.98±0.40)points,followed by drug taking(2.94±0.62)points,tobacco and alcohol(2.83 ± 1.08)points,exercise(1.98 ± 0.76)points,responsibility(1.87±0.62)points,instruction average score was the lowest(1.83±0.57)points.4.The eight dimensions of quality of life of young and middle-aged stroke patients were lower than those of Chinese and American norms, the highest score of physiological function was(50.00±18.60),and the lowest score of physiological function was(20.16±5.59).There were significant differences in quality of life among education level, stroke type and Internet use time(P < 0.05).5.Correlation analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between e-health literacy and health behavior in young and middle-aged stroke patients(r=0.484,P < 0.01),a significant positive correlation between e-health literacy and quality of life(r=0.746,P < 0.01),and a significant positive correlation between health behavior and quality of life(r=0.501,P < 0.01).The mediating effect test showed that health behavior played a partial mediating role in the relationship between e-health literacy and quality of life, with the mediating effect accounting for 19.99% of the total effect.Conclusions1.E-health literacy of young and middle-aged stroke patients is at a medium level. Is influenced by the amount of time spent on the Internet, the amount of time spent online each day,and the experience of searching for health information online.2.The health behavior of middle-aged and young stroke patients was at a moderate level, and the highest score in all dimensions was nutrition, indicating that middle-aged and young stroke patients pay attention to nutrition knowledge.3.The eight dimensions of quality of life of middle-aged and young stroke patients were lower than those of Chinese and American norms, and were easily affected by education level, stroke type and Internet use time.4.E-health literacy, health behavior and quality of life of young and middle-aged stroke patients were positively correlated, that is,the higher e-health literacy of patients, the higher level of health behavior and the better quality of life.5.E-health literacy in young and middle-aged stroke patients can not only directly affect the quality of life, but also indirectly affect the quality of life through healthy behaviors.
