Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of closed reduction elastic intramedullary nail internal fixation and open reduction plate internal fixation combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of ulnar and radial shaft fractures in children. Objective to provide reference for clinical treatment of ulnar and radial shaft fractures in children. Methods:Sixty cases of ulnar and radial shaft fractures admitted to the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics,Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2020 to June 2022 were selected.According to the different treatment methods, they were divided into the observation group(30 cases)and the control group(30 cases). The observation group was treated with closed reduction elastic intramedullary nail internal fixation, and the control group was treated with open reduction plate internal fixation. Both groups received functional exercise under the fumigation of Huoxue Zitong powder after operation. The operation duration, incision length, intraoperative blood loss, hospital stay, postoperative fracture healing time, internal fixation extraction time, complications and other conditions were observed and recorded in the two groups.According to the Anderson forearm double fracture evaluation system, the forearm function recovery of the two groups was clinically evaluated 3 months and 6 months after surgery.SPSS25.0 was used to analyze and process the index data. Results:The average operation time, incision length, intraoperative blood loss, length of hospital stay, clinical healing time of postoperative fracture, extraction time of internal fixation, and functional recovery of forearm 3 months after surgery in the observation group were significantly superior to those in the control group. The difference was statistically significant, and there was no significant difference in forearm function recovery 6 months after operation. Conclusion:The final treatment effect of the observation group and the control group was better, but the observation group had the advantages of shorter operation time, smaller surgical incision, less intraoperative blood loss, shorter clinical healing time of fracture, earlier removal of internal fixation, and faster recovery of forearm function after surgery.
