Clinical Observation Of Modified Dachaihu Decoction In The Treatment Of Functional Dyspepsia Of Damp-heat And Blood Stasis Type

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy,quality of life and mental state of Dachaihu Decoction on functional dyspepsia of damp-heat and blood stasis,and to evaluate its clinical efficacy and safety.MethodsSixty-eight patients with functional dyspepsia of damp-heat and blood stasis who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group was treated with Dachaihu Decoction and the control group with mosapride citrate tablets,both groups were treated for 4 weeks.After treatment,the TCM evidence scores,NDLQI scores and HAMA scores of both groups were analysed to assess clinical efficacy and safety.ResultsIn terms of total effective rate,the total effective rate of the experimental group was 93.75 %,which was significantly better than that of the control group 78.79 %(P < 0.01).In terms of TCM symptom scores,both the experimental and control groups had better overall TCM symptom scores after treatment than before treatment(P < 0.05),and the experimental group had significantly better overall TCM symptom scores after treatment than the control group(P < 0.01).Compared with the control group,the single symptom scores of epigastric fullness or pain,poor appetite,sticky mouth and bitter mouth,severe pain at night or after meal,heavy head and body distress,and sticky stool in the experimental group were improved(P < 0.05).Among them,epigastric fullness or pain,sticky mouth and bitter mouth,severe pain at night or after meal,heavy head and body distress,and sticky stool were significantly improved(P < 0.01),but there was no significant difference in acid reflux and vomiting,hiccups and belching(P > 0.05).In terms of quality of life and psychological state,the NDLQI and HAMA scores in both groups improved significantly after treatment compared to pre-treatment(P < 0.01).After treatment,NDLQI and HAMA scores in the experimental group improved significantly compared with the control group(P< 0.01).In terms of safety,no adverse effects,general impairment of vital signs,or impairment of liver or kidney function were observed in either the treatment or control group.ConclusionThe modified Dachaihu decoction can effectively improve the clinical symptoms,quality of life and psychological state of functional dyspepsia with damp-heat and blood stasis.It is safe and effective and worthy of promotion.
