Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of acupuncture using the method of strengthening the spleen and nourishing the heart with that of oral western medicine in treating insomnia of the heart and spleen deficiency type. Methods: 60 patients with heart and spleen deficiency insomnia who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 30 patients in each group. The observation group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion, and the acupoints used were Sishencong,Xinshu(double),Pishu(double),Shenmen(double),Sanyinjiao(double),Zusanli(double),Shenmai(double),and Zhaohai(double).Among them, the Shenmai(double)is applied with laxative method, and the Zhaohai(double)is applied with tonic method. The rest were treated with flat tonics and flat diarrhea method;Xinshu(double),Pishu(double),Sanyinjiao(double),and Zusanli(double)were simultaneously treated with moxibustion. The control group was treated with oral western medicine, the starting dose of eszopiclone tablets was 1 mg,and the maximum dosage was 2 mg,which was taken 30 minutes before bedtime for 4 weeks. The PSQI score,SAS score,FS-14 score, and TCM evidence score of each group were evaluated before and after treatment, respectively. The data were analyzed and processed using SPSS26.0 statistical software. Results: 1.The comparison of general data(age, gender and disease duration)between the two groups was not statistically significant, and the baseline data were the same and comparable(P>0.05).2.Comparison of PSQI scores: compared within the group, the total PSQI scores of patients in both groups decreased significantly compared with those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);compared between groups, the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).3.Comparison of SAS scores: In the intra-group comparison, the SAS score of both groups decreased significantly compared with that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);in the inter-group comparison, the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of FS-14 scores: compared within the group,FS-14 score decreased in both groups compared with that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);compared between the groups, the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).5.Comparison of TCM evidence points: compared within the group, all TCM evidence points decreased significantly compared with those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);compared between groups, the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).6.Comparison of efficacy determination: the effective rate of the observation group was 96.67%,and the effective rate of the control group was90.00%,and the observation group was better than the control group when compared between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion(s): Acupuncture using the method of strengthening the spleen and nourishing the heart has clear efficacy in treating insomnia of the type of heart and spleen deficiency, and can effectively improve the insomnia symptoms of patients,as well as improve the symptoms of anxiety and fatigue of insomnia patients, and its clinical efficacy is better than that of oral Western medicine treatment. |
