Human bone tissue defects,bone loss,fractures and other diseases are currently urgent clinical problems to be solved.For this kind of large-area bone defect that exceeds the ability of the human bone to repair itself,it is necessary to use a certain filling material to replace the missing bone to support the damaged bone area to restore the lost function.Orthopedic implants play the role of "filling material".The preparation of orthopedic implants through additive manufacturing technology and implanting them into the human body is currently one of the main treatment methods for the treatment of large-scale bone defects.However,there are still many difficulties in designing orthopedic implants with low stiffness,high strength and good biological performance.Applying the porous structure to the design of orthopedic implants and constructing porous orthopedic implants is the current mainstream orthopedic implant design method.In this paper,based on the Triply Periodic Minimal Surface(TPMS),a porous structure TPMS unit is created and applied to porous orthopedic implants to design pore characteristics such as pore size and porosity that are controllable.TPMS porous orthopedic implant with high mechanical properties and excellent biological properties.At the same time,in view of the cumbersome modeling process of the current TPMS porous model,which needs to be modeled by multiple commercial software,this paper develops a TPMS porous structure modeling software for fast and easy construction of the TPMS model.The main research contents of this article include:(1)Design and modeling of TPMS porous structure.Through TPMS implicit function expressions,TPMS surface model,TPMS homogeneous structure,gradient structure and fusion structure model are established.The Boolean operations in mathematics are applied to the three-dimensional model to construct TPMS porous models with different external shapes.(2)Finite element mesh division of TPMS porous structure.Aiming at the problem that the porous structure of TPMS is difficult to divide the finite element mesh,a finite element meshing method for the porous structure of TPMS is proposed.(3)Development of TPMS porous structure modeling software.The TPMS porous structure design and modeling methods are integrated into the software,and the TPMS porous model is generated quickly,simply and easily.(4)Compare the pore characteristics and mechanical properties of solid-shaped and sheet-shaped porous TPMS titanium.Observe the surface morphology of porous titanium implants through optical microscopes and scanning electron microscopes,and use a combination of finite element analysis and mechanical experiments to analyze and evaluate the mechanical properties of porous titanium implants.
