Residents’ income is a major issue related to national development and social stability. In addition to other common factors, the main factors affecting income include human capital, social capital and wealth capital,of which human capital accounts for a large part.In the past research on human capital, scholars paid more attention to people’s education, but ignored another important factor, namely healthy human capital.According to the previous research results, this paper systematically analyzes the relationship between health human capital and residents’ income.First of all, this paper analyzes the health human capital of the Chinese population, the investment of health human capital, and the income of residents by using the relevant data such as the Chinese Family Panel Studies(CFPS)and the China Health Statistics Yearbook.Secondly, this paper explores the mechanism of health human capital affecting residents’ income, that is,health human capital increases residents’ income by increasing the opportunities for residents to participate in labor, health human capital increases residents’ income by improving the working efficiency of workers, health human capital increases residents’ income by reducing the burden of disease, and health human capital increases residents’ income by improving education human capital; On this basis,it puts forward three heterogeneous effects, namely, the income effect of health human capital of male residents is greater than that of female residents, the income effect of health human capital of rural residents is greater than that of urban residents, and the income effect of health human capital of residents in central and western regions is greater than that of eastern regions. Then,on the basis of Minser’s income function,we selected two variables, namely body mass index and self-assessed health status,to measure the health status of residents.Through the statistics of health human capital,we successively used simple OLS estimation and fixed effect model to conduct empirical research on the effect of health human capital on the income of Chinese residents. The research results show that health has a positive role in improving the income of residents.Under the condition that other variables remain unchanged,it is found that the higher the health level of the resident, the higher the income level; In addition, this paper discusses the sample of male residents, female residents, urban residents, rural residents and residents in the eastern and central and western regions in groups, and analyzes and discusses them in depth. The group estimation results show that the health income effect of male residents is greater than that of female residents, the health income effect of rural residents is greater than that of urban residents, and the health income effect of residents in the central and western regions is higher than that of eastern regions. Finally, combined with the current situation description, theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, aiming at the current problems in China, this paper puts forward policy recommendations to increase the investment in healthy human capital and improve the income of Chinese residents, and looks forward to the future.
