Study On Patriotic Health Movement In Heilongjiang Province(1952-1959)

Patriotic health movement,as an important part of Chinese health undertakings,is an important way to effectively promote the development of health undertakings through historical test.The patriotic health movement arose during the War of resisting the US and aiding Korea.In order to resist the germ warfare launched by the US imperialists and promote people’s health and social development,the Communist Party of China led the people to carry out the patriotic health movement throughout the country.From 1952 to 1959,Heilongjiang Province actively responded to the call of the CPC Central Committee,mobilized the masses to carry out patriotic health campaign,and realized the breakthrough development of the province’s health cause.Through three parts,this paper comprehensively analyzes and presents the pluralistic features of the patriotic health movement in Heilongjiang Province from 1952 to 1959.The first part discusses the theoretical basis and practical background of the patriotic health movement in Heilongjiang Province during this period.On the other hand,the rampant germ warfare of the United States and the relatively backward sanitary condition of Heilongjiang Province constituted the realistic background of the patriotic sanitary movement in Heilongjiang Province.The second part mainly discusses the main contents of the patriotic health campaign in Heilongjiang Province.First of all,on the basis of establishing patriotic health campaign organizations at all levels,Heilongjiang Province aroused the enthusiasm of the masses to participate in the campaign by carrying out health publicity and education,promoting the combination of agricultural production and health campaign,and establishing evaluation and commendation mechanism.Secondly,Heilongjiang Province aims to improve the health condition of the whole province by perfecting the health system,eliminating the "four evils" and regulating the intermediary places of pathogen transmission.Finally,Heilongjiang Province has taken a series of practical measures in view of the fact that endemic diseases occur frequently and the health of women and children cannot be effectively guaranteed.The third part,through the detailed review of the specific development process of the patriotic health movement in Heilongjiang Province from 1952 to 1959,summed up the effect and historical experience of the patriotic health movement in Heilongjiang Province during that period.
