Objective:To investigate the clinical evaluation of the efficacy of holmium laser lithotripsy using ureteroscopy for unilateral solitary upper urinary tract stones, there is clear numerical evidence for the relationship between factors associated with upper urinary tract stones and the efficiency of holmium laser lithotripsy using ureteroscopy. In this regard,we investigated the clinical evaluation of Holmium laser lithotripsy efficiency by non-enhanced CT examination to measure the volume size of upper urinary tract stones and the mean CT value of stones(Hounsfield unit HU)and procedure time. Methods:Retrospective analysis of 88 ureteral soft-scope Holmium laser lithotripsy procedures performed in the Department of Urology,The Second Hospital of Nanchang University from January 2022 to December 2022.The size and mean CT values of upper urinary tract stones were obtained in all patients who underwent preoperative non-enhanced CT examination.Stone volume(mm~3)was calculated according to the criteria of the European Association of Urology.Surgical efficiency was calculated as stone volume divided by operative time. The relationship between CT values, stone density, operative time, and operative efficiency was assessed using the correlation method.SFR was assessed by imaging within 1 month after surgery. Results:By controlled analysis of low CT value group A(<1000)and high CT value group B(>1000),there was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05)in stone volume between high CT value(group B)and low CT value(group A).There was a statistically significant difference between the high CT value(group B)and the low CT value(group A)in the operation time(P<0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference between the high CT value(group B)and the low CT value(group A)in the lithotripsy efficiency(P<0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the postoperative stone removal rate(P>0.05).The CT value and size of stones can be measured by preoperative NCCT as one of the important indexes to predict the lithotripsy efficiency of holmium laser lithotripsy time, which is better for the clinicians’preoperative and intraoperative guidance.
