Clinical Observation Of Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction Combined With Artificial Total Hip Arthroplasty In The Treatment Of Senile Femoral Neck Fracture

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Taohong Siwu decoction in the treatment of patients after total hip arthroplasty(THA),to analyze and compare the difference of functional recovery between modified Taohong Siwu decoction combined with total hip arthroplasty and simple total hip arthroplasty in elderly patients with femoral neck fracture,to further explore the effect of modified Taohong Siwu decoction in the treatment of senile femoral neck fracture,so as to provide a basis for clinical treatment.Methods: A total of 60 patients with femoral neck fracture were selected from the 2021 of the Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated Lu’an Hospital of Traditional Chinese medicine from December to December 2022,the patients were randomly divided into control group(N = 30)and treatment group(N = 30).Both groups were treated with total hip arthroplasty,the treatment group was treated with modified Taohong Siwu decoction for 30 days on the basis of the control group.Visual analogue scale(VAS,hip joint swelling,Harris score and clinical effect were recorded and compared between the two groups.Results: There were no significant differences in sex,age,fracture type and location between the two groups(P > 0.05).1.VAS score: there was no significant difference between the two groups in VAS score before operation and 1 day after operation(P >0.05),but there was significant difference in VAS score at 7,14,30 days after operation(P< 0.05)There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups before operation and 1 day after operation(P > 0.05),the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).2.Swelling degree: there was no significant difference between the two groups in the middle leg circumference of the affected limb 1 day before operation and 1 day after operation(P > 0.05),there were significant differences between the two groups on the 7th,14 th and 30 th day after operation(P< 0.05),and there were significant differences on the 1st day after operation and on the 1st,7th,14 th and 30 th day before operation(P < 0.05).3.Harris score: there was no significant difference in Harris score between the two groups at 1 day before operation and 1 day after operation(P > 0.05),the Harris score of hip joint in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group on the 7th,14 th and 30 th day after operation(P<0.05),there were significant differences between 1 day before operation and 1,7,14,30 days after operation(P < 0.05).5.After treatment,the total effective rate of the treatment group(93.33%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(73.33%)(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The modified Taohong Siwu decoction combined with total hip arthroplasty can effectively relieve the postoperative complications such as pain and swelling of the affected area in the early stage for the elderly patients with femoral neck fracture,it is beneficial to the early functional exercise of the hip joint after operation and promote the functional recovery of the hip joint.
