Objective:To understand the status quo and influencing factors of overweight and obesity in children aged 3-6 years old in Urumqi, and to construct a nomogram prediction model for overweight and obesity in children aged 3-6 years old,so as to provide reference for the prevention and control of overweight and obesity in children aged 3-6years old in Urumqi. Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted among 1897 children and their main caregivers from 10 kindergartens in Urumqi from October 2021 to March 2022 by stratified cluster sampling. To understand the status quo of overweight and obesity of preschool children by measuring their height and weight.General data questionnaire, chinese preschoolers’ eating behavior questionnaire, chinese preschooler’s caregivers feeding behavior scale, and 3-6 years old children’s home nurture environment scale were used to analyze the influencing factors of overweight and obesity in children aged 3-6 years old in Urumqi. To construct a nomogram prediction model, the area under curve of the receiver operating characteristic and the calibration curve are used to verify the nomogram prediction model internally, and the accuracy and consistency of the prediction model are evaluated, the clinical value of the prediction model was evaluated by decision curve.Results:1.592 children aged 3-6 years old were overweight and obesity in Urumqi, with a detection rate of 31.21%.2.Univariate analysis shows that age, gender, birth weight, early antibiotic exposure of the child, diabetes during pregnancy, caregivers’ perception of children’s weight, father’s body mass index, mother’s body mass index, mother’s pre-pregnancy body mass index, family per capita monthly income, food responsiveness, unhealthy eating habits, satiety responsiveness, external eating, initiative eating behavior, weight concerns, behavior restricted feeding, forced feeding and physical activity, there difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Logistic regression analysis showed that gender, birth weight, early antibiotic exposure of the child, diabetes during pregnancy, caregiver’s perception of children’s weight, father’s body mass index, external eating, initiative eating behavior, weight concerns, behavior restricted feeding and physical activity are the influencing factors of overweight and obesity in children aged3-6 years old in Urumqi(P<0.05).4.The area under curve of the receiver operating characteristic of the nomogram for identifying overweight and obesity was 0.847.The nomogram was found with a high goodness of fit by the Hosmer-Lemeshow test(P>0.05).Decision curve analysis showed that when the threshold probability of patients was 0.10 to 0.99,using the nomogram resulted in higher net benefit of predicting the risk of overweight and obesity in in children aged 3-6 years old in Urumqi.Conclusion:1.The detection rate of overweight and obesity in children aged 3-6 years old is high and affected by many factors in Urumqi.Relevant departments should strengthen education, correct children bad eating behavior, caregivers feeding behavior and promote scientific exercise to prevent the occurrence of overweight and obesity in children.2.This study constructs and verifies the nomogram prediction model internally, which is helpful to early identify the risk of overweight and obesity in children aged 3-6 years old in Urumqi.
