Objective: To investigate the correlation between heart rate variability(HRV)and permanent pacemaker implantation after transcatheter aortic valve implantation. Methods:From March 2016 to February 2023,42 patients who underwent transcatheter aortic valve implantation in the heart center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were selected. The clinical data, laboratory test results, whether permanent pacemakers were implanted during postoperative hospitalization,time-domain indicators for detecting heart rate variability in 24 hours after operation: standard deviation of NN interval, readmission and outpatient follow-up data were collected, and a database was established. The correlation between the standard deviation of NN interval and whether the patient implanted a permanent pacemaker after operation was compared between the two groups. Results: The patient’s age and procalcitonin in the non-permanent pacemaker implantation group were higher than those in the permanent pacemaker implantation group, and the left atrial and left ventricular end-diastolic diameters and the peak flow velocity of aortic valve decreased significantly after operation. The peak velocity of aortic valve in permanent pacemaker group decreased significantly after operation compared with that before operation.Self-expanding valve, balloon expanding valve, pressure difference between aortic valves during operation and standard deviation of NN interval after operation were statistically significant between non-permanent pacemaker group and permanent pacemaker group(P<0.05),and the use of self-expanding valve between non-permanent pacemaker group and permanent pacemaker group was statistically and clinically significant(OR=0.12;95%CI=0.02-0.90;P=0.04),which is the same as the previous research results. The standard deviation of postoperative NN interval between non-permanent pacemaker group and permanent pacemaker group was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The standard deviation of NN interval in heart rate variability index is statistically significant between non-permanent pacemaker group and permanent pacemaker group after transcatheter aortic valve implantation, but it has no clinical significance.2.The use of self-expanding valve in transcatheter aortic valve implantation is an independent risk factor for permanent pacemaker implantation after transcatheter aortic valve implantation, which is consistent with previous studies.
