Objective:Acute pancreatitis(AP)is a common clinical disease with high incidence rate and mortality at home and abroad, mainly characterized by pancreatitis and tissue necrosis.Currently, many single clinical evaluation systems for the condition of AP have not achieved satisfactory results. This study aims to explore the significance of combined detection of the dynamic changes of serum IL-6 and PCT in patients with AP at the early stage of onset in assessing the severity of AP.Methods: According to 60 patients with AP admitted to the hospital,we divided them into two groups: non SAP group(30 cases)and SAP group(30 cases),who were hospitalized within 24 hours after the onset of the disease.Venous blood was collected on the first, third, and fifth days after admission, and serum IL-6 and PCT values were measured on the computer in the Laboratory Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.Data were collected using SPSS software. The data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation(x ± s),The analysis of variance method is used for comparison between groups, and the data of the same group is visually compared using a view method to draw a change curve. Results: Complete data were collected from 60 patients with AP,including 41 males and 19 females, aged between20 and 81,with an average age of 46.53 ± 14.13 years. There were 30 non SAP patients, including 17 males and 13 females, aged between 24 and 81,with an average age of 48.70± 14.18 years. There were 30 SAP patients, including 22 males and 8 females, aged between 20 and 75,with an average age of 44.36 ± 13.98 years. In the non SAP group, the causes of cholelithiasis, alcohol consumption, and hyperlipidemia were 14,5,and 8cases,respectively,while other causes were 3.In the SAP group, there were 11,4,and5 patients with cholelithiasis, alcohol consumption, and hyperlipidemia, respectively, while there were 5 patients with other causes. The serum IL-6 level in SAP group began to increase on the first day after admission, reaching a peak on the third day,but gradually decreased thereafter. The difference between the first and third days of admission and non SAP group patients was more statistically significant(P<0.01).On the fifth day of admission, the serum IL-6 level in SAP group was significantly higher than that in non SAP group patients during the same period(P<0.05).The serum PCT content of patients in the SAP group began to increase on the first day after admission, reaching a peak on the third day,but gradually decreased thereafter.Compared with patients in the non SAP group during the same period, the difference was more statistically significant(P<0.01).On the third and fifth days after admission, the serum PCT content of patients in the SAP group significantly exceeded that of patients in the non SAP group during the same period(P<0.01).On the first day after admission, there was statistically significant difference in APACHEⅡscores between the SAP group and the non SAP group(P<0.05).There was also a difference in CT scores between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:The dynamic balance between serum IL-6 and PCT levels plays a crucial role in the emergence and progression of AP,and the combined effect of the two ultimately determines the development direction of pancreatitis. The key method for the treatment of SAP is to quickly maintain a low level of dynamic balance of proinflammatory factors,so improving the determination of the two plays an important role.
