Objective:The aim is to assess the efficacy of tumor cytoreductive surgery in conjunction with intraperitoneal thermoperfusion chemotherapy for those suffering from primary epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods: Between December 2020 and December2022,30 individuals suffering from pathologically confirmed epithelial ovarian cancer, stages Ⅲand IV,who were treated at People’s Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region’s Department of Gynecology, were given satisfactory tumor cytoreductive surgery.10 of them were treated with intraperitoneal hot infusion chemotherapy(HIPEC)regimen combined with intravenous chemotherapy as the study group;the other 20 patients received only The other 20 cases received only intravenous chemotherapy without intraperitoneal hyperperfusion chemotherapy as the control group. We compared the decreasing trend of tumor markers(serum CA125,serum HE4,)between the two groups, compared the changes of tumor markers(serum CA125)before treatment and after three intravenous chemotherapy to assess their efficacy, and observed the leukopenia, hemoglobin decrease, thrombocytopenia, granulocytopenia, and impaired liver and kidney function in both groups during the treatment. Results: There was no statistical difference in the comparison of general clinical data such as age,BMI,whether menopause, maximum tumor diameter(cm),clinical stage(FIGO stage),type of pathology, whether NACT,surgical approach, and surgical evaluation between the two groups(P>0.05).The differences in CA125 and HE4 before treatment and before the 1st to 6th postoperative treatment values between the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05),but the decrease in CA125 in the study group was greater than that in the control group.After3 times of chemotherapy, the efficacy of CA125 in the study group was significantly better than that in the control group, and this difference was statistically significant with a P value less than 0.05.In addition, there was no significant difference between the two groups when compared after receiving chemotherapy in terms of leukocytes, platelets, hemoglobin, and granulocytopenia, and impaired liver and kidney function(P>0.05).Conclusion: After statistical analysis,we found that combined intraperitoneal thermoperfusion chemotherapy could significantly reduce serum tumor marker levels in ovarian cancer patients and did not increase the toxic side effects of chemotherapy in patients, but due to the retrospective study and small sample size, statistical bias may exist, which needs to be further confirmed by a large number of present,long-term follow-up studies.
