Objective: This study takes cataract patients from Shenyang Aier Ophthalmology Hospital as the survey subjects, evaluates the visual related quality of life of cataract patients, and explores its influencing factors. To provide a basis for exploring research on improving the visual related quality of life of cataract patients and developing corresponding prevention and treatment measures. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study.391 cataract patients diagnosed in Shenyang Aier Eye Hospital were selected as the survey objects, and social Demography indicators, clinical indicators, and psychological indicators of the patients were collected for statistical analysis using SPSS26 software.Descriptive analysis of the visual related quality of life levels and influencing factors in cataract patients;Conduct univariate analysis and stratified stepwise multiple linear regression analysis on the influencing factors of visual related quality of life in cataract patients. Results:The average score of visual related quality of life for cataract patients in this study was(69.80±11.48).The results of hierarchical stepwise multiple linear regression showed that social Demography indicators, clinical indicators and psychological indicators could explain 5.60%,17.90% and 11.60% of the total score variation of the NEI-VFQ-25 scale for cataract patients, respectively.Compared to cataract patients with mild economic burden of disease, patients with moderate economic burden of disease have an average decrease of 2.316 points in NEI-VFQ-25 scores, while patients with severe economic burden have an average decrease of 3.138 points in NEI-VFQ-25 scores;Compared to cataract patients without chronic diseases, patients with one chronic disease had an average decrease of3.242 points in NEI-VFQ-25 scores;Compared to patients without conscious symptoms, patients with blurred vision showed an average decrease of 3.438 points in NEI-VFQ-25 scores;Compared with patients without depression, mild depression patients had an average decrease of 10.436 points in NEI-VFQ-25 scores, while moderate and severe depression patients had an average decrease of 13.381 points in NEI-VFQ-25 scores; The average score of NEI-VFQ-25 increased by 4.009 points in patients with poor endothelial cells greater than or equal to 2000/mm2 compared to patients with poor endothelial cells less than 1000/mm2;Patients with good eye BCVA of(0.4,0.8)and above showed an average increase of 4.878 points and 6.953 points in NEI-VFQ-25 scores compared to patients with good eye BCVA of less than or equal to 0.4,respectively.Patients with anterior chamber depth of(2.3,3] mm showed an average increase of 2.747 points in NEI-VFQ-25 scores compared to patients with anterior chamber depth of less than or equal to 2.3mm.Conclusions: The total score of visual related quality of life for cataract patients in this study is at a moderate level.Good eye BCVA of(0.4,0.8] and above, poor eye endothelial cells greater than or equal to 2000/mm2,and anterior chamber depth of(2.3,3] mm are protective factors for visual related quality of life in cataract patients.Patients with one chronic disease, moderate and severe economic burden of the disease, self perceived visual blurring symptoms, mild, moderate, and severe depression are risk factors for visual related quality of life in cataract patients. |
