Objective:To test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Nurse Work-Instability Scale(NURSE-WIS).To understand the current situation of nurse work instability, clarify its influencing factors, and provide relevant basis for future research on nurse work instability. Methods:Based on the Brislin translation model, adapting the scale across cultures, and the Chinese version of the Nurse Work-Instability Scale(NURSE-WIS)was finally formed.249 nurses from the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were investigated.Critical ration and correlation coefficient method were used to analyze and screen the scale items.Content validity and structure validity were used to test the scale validity.Internal consistency reliability, retest reliability and split half reliability were used to test the reliability of the scale. Finally, based on literature review, the general data questionnaire was formed, and 350 nurses in three Grade A hospitals in Shenyang were investigated and analyzed with the general data questionnaire and the Chinese version of the Nurse Work-instability Scale(NURSE-WIS)to describe the current situation of nurse work instability.Single factor analysis and multi-element linear regression method was used to explore various influencing factors of nurse work instability.Results:(1)There were 21 items in the Chinese version of the Nurse Work-instability Scale(NURSE-WIS).The Cronbach’sαof this scale was 0.944,the split half reliability was 0.882,the retest reliability was 0.829(n=249),and the S-CVI and I-CVI were both1.0.KMO value data analysis and Bartlett’s spherical measurement test were carried out.KMO value coefficient was 0.942,Bartlett’s spherical test reached a significant level, coefficient value of fixed factor was 1,explain ability was 47.938%of total component variation, and the maximum variance orthogonal value was in the variation matrix after rotation. The component load of each variation item is greater than 0.4.(2)The total score of nurses’job instability scale was(8.60±6.936),and the overall score was medium.(3)Single factor analysis showed that age, gender, night shift, night shift frequency, depression, insomnia, anxiety, and musculoskeletal diseases were the factors affecting the job instability of nurses.Multiple linear regression results show that:Depression, insomnia, musculoskeletal disease, anxiety, gender, night work or not had a statistically significant effect on the job instability of nurses,R~2=0.505,adjusted R~2=0.497,F=58.406,P<0.01,these six factors could explain the variation of the job instability of nurses was 49.7%.Conclusion:(1)The Chinese version of the Nurse Work-instability Scale(NURSE-WIS)verified by this study has good reliability and validity, which can evaluate the current situation of nurse work instability in China.(2)The work-instability risk of nurses in Shenyang Grade A hospital was low.Depression, insomnia, musculoskeletal disorders, anxiety, gender, and working night shifts are factors that influence work instability.
