Objective: To develop a health education needs assessment tool for patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction under the cultural background of China,and to test its reliability and validity.To provide an objective tool for clinical nurses to evaluate the health education needs of patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction,so as to carry out targeted health education intervention and fully meet the health education needs of patients.Methods: Through literature review and analysis,the structural framework of questionnaire items and dimensions was formed.Combined with the qualitative interview results of the health education needs of patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction,the items and latitudes formed by literature analysis were supplemented and modified.15 experts were invited to conduct two rounds of Delphi expert consultation,and 30 patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction were selected for pre-survey.The initial version of the health education needs questionnaire for patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction was formed by revising the items and latitude of the questionnaire.The study selected 290 patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction for clinical investigation.The item total score correlation method,critical ratio method,dispersion degree analysis,commonality and factor load analysis were used to screen the items.The validity test was carried out by content validity and structural validity.Five experts were selected to evaluate the content validity,and then two rounds of exploratory factor analysis were carried out to revise the items.The reliability was tested by internal consistency reliability.Results: In the literature review stage,a total of 131 relevant literatures were retrieved,and 15 literatures were finally included.Through literature analysis,six dimensions of disease-related knowledge,pelvic floor function screening,pelvic floor rehabilitation treatment,physiological needs,psychosocial needs,and health education methods were finally formed.A total of 12 patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction were interviewed in the study,and the data of the respondents were collated and analyzed.Finally,6 themes(disease knowledge needs;pelvic floor function screening knowledge needs;pelvic floor rehabilitation knowledge needs;physiological needs;psychosocial needs;health education needs)and 18 sub-themes are formed.In the first round of expert consultation,6 items were deleted,16 items were modified,and 2 items were added.In the second round of expert consultation,3 items were modified and 2 items were merged.The initial version of health education needs questionnaire for patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction was developed based on expert opinions and pre-survey results.The questionnaire of health education needs of patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction formed after project analysis and exploratory factor analysis included 33 items in 5 dimensions: basic knowledge needs of disease,pelvic floor rehabilitation treatment needs,general physiological needs,psychosocial needs,and health education needs.The cumulative contribution rate of each factor was83.931%.The item content validity index of the questionnaire was 0.800~1.000,and scale content validity index was 0.890.The correlation coefficients between the five dimensions of the questionnaire and the overall level of the questionnaire were0.780~0.854,and the correlation coefficients between the dimensions were0.492~0.800,all of which were statistically significant(P<0.01).The Cronbach ’s αcoefficient of the questionnaire was 0.977,and the Cronbach ’s α coefficient of each dimension was 0.916-0.975.Conclusion: The questionnaire included 33 items in 5 dimensions: basic knowledge needs,pelvic floor rehabilitation needs,general physiological needs,psychosocial needs,and health education needs.It comprehensively covers the health education needs of patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction.The questionnaire has good psychological attributes,and all indicators meet the measurement standards.The questionnaire has good reliability and validity,which can provide an effective reference for clinical nurses to evaluate the health education needs of patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction.
