Objective:The study aims to investigate the presentations of meniscus injuries in different T CM types through arthroscopy and to understand their association with inflammatory markers IL-6 and IL-1β by assessing the extent of meniscus injury in patients and ana lyzing serum levels of IL-6 and IL-1β.Methods:Patients who underwent meniscus surgery in the Department of Sports Medicine at Fuzhou Second Hospital between January 1,2022,and January 31,2023,were enrolled and categorized based on their syndromes.Thirty cases from each group were selected for observation, resulting in a total of 90 participants: 30 in the phlegm-dampness obstruction group(n=30),29 in the qi stagnation and blood stasis group(n=29),and 31 in the liver and kidney deficiency group(n=31).This case-control study required all subjects to undergo knee arthroscopy on the affected limb. After grouping, there were 15 males and 15 females in the phlegm-dampness obstruction group(n=30),13 males and 16 females in the qi stagnation and blood stasis group(n=29),and 10 males and 21 females in the liver and kidney deficiency group(n=31).Demographic data and arthroscopic indicators of various injury performance was collected, and serum IL-1β and IL-6 levels were measured.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0 software.Result:1.When comparing arthroscopic manifestations of meniscus injuries across different syndromes, significant differences were observed among phlegm-dampness obstruction,qi stagnation and blood stasis, and liver and kidney deficiency patients in cartilage injury grading(P < 0.01).Liver and kidney deficiency patients exhibited more severe cartilage injuries than patients with sputum and dampness block type and qi stagnation and blood stasis type.2.Likewise,synovial hyperplasia grading showed considerable differences among the groups(P < 0.01).The degree of arthroscopic sliding membrane damage was significantly higher in patients with liver and kidney loss than another two groups of patients.3.The comparison of arthroscopic joint meniscus injury types showed that the group comparison of meniscus injury types of different Chinese medicine certificate types had significant differences(P<0.01).Patients with liver and kidney loss and sputum and dampness block had the highest proportion of mixed tears, and the patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis were mainly radiation tears.4.The degree of meniscus injury varied significantly between different Chinese medicine certificate types(P<0.05),and the degree of meniscus injury in patients with liver and kidney loss was higher than that in the other two groups.5.The results showed that the distribution of having cysts was significantly different between Chinese medicine certificate types(P<0.01),and the probability of having cysts was significantly higher than the other two groups.6.There was no significant difference between groups for arthroscopic bone hyperplasia(P>0.05)and meniscal injury(P>0.05).7.According to the comparative analysis of serum IL-1β and IL-6 expression in patients with different types of injury, the serum levels of IL-1β and IL-6 in patients with liver-kidney loss were higher than those in patients with sputum dampness block and gas arrest and blood stasis, and the inflammatory expression of IL-1β and IL-6 was statistically different between groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:By comparing different TCM certificate type of meniscus injury arthroscopic performance and inflammatory factor expression, the patients of liver and kidney deficiency in cartilage damage and synovial hyperplasia higher incidence, and inflammatory factor expression is higher, therefore, when the people of liver and kidney deficiency develop knee joint strain and chronic aseptic inflammation, they should pay more attention to prevent meniscus injury.
