Objective: By observing the clinical efficacy of modified Chaihu Shengshi Decoction in the treatment of chronic prostatitis with damp-heat accumulation type, the clinical evidence was provided for the efficacy and safety of modified Chaihu Shengshi Decoction in the treatment of chronic prostatitis with damp-heat accumulation type, and the theoretical basis was provided for the treatment of chronic prostatitis.Research methods: According to the research plan,72 patients who came to the Department of Andrology and Urology of Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2022 and met the inclusion criteria of this clinical study were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group was treated with modified Chaihu Shengshi decoction combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained-release capsules, and the control group was treated with Qianlie Jiedu capsules combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained-release capsules. The TCM syndrome score,NIH-CPSI score, prostate examination score, and patient depression score(PHQ-9)were recorded before and after treatment.Research results: A total of 72 patients were enrolled in this study. In the treatment group,1 case did not return on time,1 case was reluctant to continue clinical trials due to work, and 34 cases were effective. In the control group,1 case was excluded from the study due to unsatisfactory efficacy, and 1 case was excluded due to poor medication compliance.(1)After treatment, the total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 88.24 % and 79.41 % respectively. The treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).(2)After treatment, the total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 91.18% and 82.35% respectively. The treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).72(3)After the treatment, the total NIH-CPSI score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),mainly manifested as urination symptom score and quality of life score. There was no significant difference in pain symptom scores between the two groups(P>0.05).The ascending intra-group comparison showed that the total NIH-CPSI scores of the two groups at the end of treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).(4)At the end of the treatment, the total score of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.01).The scores of individual symptoms of TCM main syndromes and the scores of scrotal dampness and post-urinary drip in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference between the two groups in improving urethral burning and short urine redness scores(P>0.05).Comparing the above groups, the scores of TCM syndromes and individual symptoms at the end of treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).(5)At the end of the treatment, the total score of prostatic examination in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.01),and the scores of prostatic tenderness and lecithin bodies in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in prostatic texture or white blood cell count between the two groups(P> 0.05).Compared within the ascending group, the prostate examination scores at the end of treatment were all significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).(6)At the end of the treatment, the depression score(PHQ-9)of the patients in the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Compared within the ascending group, the depression scores(PHQ-9)of the two groups at the end of treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).Conclusion:(1)Modified Chaihu Shengshi Decoction can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with chronic prostatitis of damp-heat accumulation type, which is mainly manifested in the reduction of TCM syndrome score,NIH-CPSI score, prostate examination score, and patient depression score.(2)The modified Chaihu Shengshi Decoction was superior to Qianlie Jiedu Capsule in the treatment of chronic prostatitis of damp-heat accumulation type without special adverse reactions and guaranteed safety,so it was worthy of clinical promotion.
