Clinical Observation On Shaoyin Qiangxin Decoction In Treating Chronic Heart Failure (Yang Deficiency And Water Flooding Syndrome)

Objective: By observing the clinical efficacy of Shaoyin Qiangxin Decoction in the treatment of chronic heart failure(yang deficiency and water flooding syndrome),this study evaluated the NT ProBNP,6-minute walk test,Minnesota Heart Failure Quality of Life Scale,TCM syndrome score and other indicators to verify the effectiveness and safety of Shaoyin Qiangxin Decoction in the treatment of chronic heart failure(yang deficiency and water flooding syndrome).Methods: In this study,a prospective,randomized,controlled clinical observation method was used to randomly divide 72 patients with chronic heart failure who met the inclusion criteria and whose TCM syndrome was yang deficiency and water flooding syndrome into two groups,36 patients in each group.All the selected patients(chronic heart failure,yang deficiency and water flooding syndrome)were routinely treated according to western medical norms.The control group was treated with cardiotonic,diuretic and vasodilator for 4 weeks;Test group: on the basis of the control group,they received Shaoyin Qiangxin Decoction for 4weeks.Take the 4th week as the evaluation point of efficacy,observe NT ProBNP,6-minute walk test,Minnesota Heart Failure Quality of Life Scale,TCM syndrome score,and conduct comprehensive efficacy analysis to verify the clinical efficacy of this program.Results:1.NT-pro BNP level comparison: both groups improved after treatment compared with before treatment(P<0.05);There was no significant difference between the groups after treatment(P>0.05).The total effective rates of the test group and the control group were 86.34% and70.57% respectively.2.Comparison of 6-minute walking distance: the two groups of patients improved after treatment compared with before treatment(P<0.05);There was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).The total effective rates of the test group and the control group were 80.42% and 69.63% respectively.3.Comparison of Minnesota quality of life scores: Both groups of patients improved after treatment compared to before treatment(P<0.05);After treatment,there was a statistically significant difference in physical limitations,social limitations,and symptoms between the groups(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in emotional status(P>0.05).4.TCM syndrome score: the total score of the two groups improved after treatment compared with that before treatment(P<0.05);After treatment,the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rates of the test group and the control group were 87.30% and 58.60% respectively.Comparison within the single TCM symptom group: the control group has curative effect on asthma(P=0.000),facial edema(P=0.001),and oliguria(P=0.000),but has no significant effect on palpitations and other 8 symptoms,while the patients in the test group have curative effect on asthma and other 11 symptoms after treatment,P<0.05 compared with before treatment,indicating that the scheme in the test group has significant effect on relieving the above 11 TCM symptoms compared with the control group.After treatment,there was no significant difference between the groups in three symptoms,such as asthma,facial floating limb swelling,and oliguria(P>0.05),but there was a significant difference in eight symptoms,such as palpitation(P<0.05),indicating that the test group was more effective than the control group in relieving eight symptoms,such as palpitation.This study proves that Shaoyin Qiangxin Decoction can significantly relieve the TCM symptoms of chronic heart failure(yang deficiency and water flooding syndrome).5.After 12 weeks of follow-up,the number of rehospitalization patients in the control group was 10(29.41%),while the number of rehospitalization patients in the experimental group was 3(8.82%).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05);There were no cardiovascular or death events in both groups.Conclusion:Shaoyin Qiangxin Tang has significant clinical therapeutic effects on treating chronic heart failure(Yang deficiency and water flooding syndrome),significantly improving patients’ quality of life,and significantly improving clinical symptoms such as difficulty breathing and edema.It can not only significantly alleviate traditional Chinese medicine symptoms,but also has higher safety and fewer toxic and side effects compared to Western medicine,making it worthy of clinical application and promotion.
