| Objective:To investigate the status of disease perception and treatment compliance in young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes in re-hospitalization.To explore the factors affecting disease perception and treatment compliance in re-hospitalization young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes and the relationship between them.To provide a theoretical basis for clinical workers to take measures to improve treatment compliance in young and middle-aged patients with T2 DM,achieve the goal of blood sugar control or further research. Objective:Convenience sampling method was adopted in this study. From March 2022 to September 2022,a Self-Designed General Data Questionnaire,Diabetes Treatment Compliance scale and Chinese version of the Brief illness Perception Qestionnaire were used to investigate 303 young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes who had been hospitalized twice or more in endocrinology and general practice of a third-class A hospital in Dali Prefecture.Input the data into Excel 2016,and conduct detailed statistical analysis and processing of the data with SPSS26.0 software.Descriptive analysis,T-test,single-factor analysis, linear regression analysis, and Pearson correlation analysis were used to obtain more accurate results.Results:1.A total of 323 questionnaires were collected and 303 were valid with an effective recovery rate of 93.8% in this study. The valid questionnaire included 204 male and 99 female, ranging in age from 25 to 59 years old, among which 21.12% were aged from25 to 44,78.89% were aged from 45 to 59,with an average age of(49.71±7.75).2.The average score for disease perception of re-hospitalized young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes was(51.38±9.87).The scores of each dimension were as follows: cognitive dimension(33.51±5.69),emotional dimension(11.99± 3.85)and disease understanding dimension(5.88±2.44).According to the open-ended questions, the most important factors leading to the disease were life habit, diet habit and heredity. There were 105 patients who did not know the cause of the disease. The results of difference analysis showed that there were significant differences in disease perception among re-hospitalized young and middle-aged patients with type 2diabetes in age, education, occupation, per capita monthly family income, home address, smoking status, ability to pay medical expenses, course of disease, hospitalization frequency, hypoglycemia occurrence, frequency of health education, which were statistically significant(p < 0.05).3.The mean score of treatment compliance was 35.76±5.78.The scores of each dimension were successively: The score of medication dimension was(9.43±2.00),the score of diet dimension was(7.28±1.84),the score of exercise dimension was(6.77±1.35),the score of self-monitoring dimension was(6.75±1.64)and the score of regular review dimension was(5.53±1.83).The results of difference analysis showed that the treatment compliance of re-hospitalized young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes were significant differences in education level, occupation, home address, whether can pay for the medical expenses, the number of health education attended, the fasting blood glucose value and the hba1 c value difference(p < 0.05).4.The Pearson Correlation Analysis indicated that there was a correlation between disease perception and treatment compliance in readmitted young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes(R=0.404 P < 0.0001).5.The emotional dimension, disease understanding dimension, occupation and fasting glucose value entered the regression equation, and together explained 30.7% of the variation.Conclusions1.The level of disease perception in readmitted young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes is above medium. The overall level of treatment compliance is generally low, including poor compliance with self-monitoring and periodic review.2.There is a significant positive correlation between disease perception and treatment compliance in readmitted young and middle-aged patients with type 2diabetes.3.The treatment compliance of patients is affected by education level, occupation, home address, ability to pay medical expenses, frequency of attending health education, fasting blood glucose value and glycosylated hemoglobin value.4.Occupation,fasting blood glucose, mood and disease understanding are the main factors affecting treatment compliance in readmitted young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes. |
