The high prevalence and mortality of eating disorders, especially in adolescent groups, can cause serious damage to individuals and societies. In domestic and foreign studies,cross-diagnostic theoretical models believe that there are more psychosocial factors that affect adolescent eating disorders.Among them, maladaptive perfectionism, social support, borderline personality are thought to play a key role in adolescent eating disorders. In order to investigate the current status of adolescent maladaptive perfectionism, social support, borderline personality and eating disorders, the effects of adolescent maladaptive perfectionism on eating disorders and the role of social support and borderline personality in between the two were explored.Using the Fortt Multidimensional Perfectionism Questionnaire,Adolescent Social Support Rating Scale,McLean Borderline Personality Disorder Screening Scale, and Eating Disorder Questionnaire(EDI),209 adolescents with eating disorders were tested, and the data were entered, collated, and statistically analyzed by SPSS25.0,including descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample T test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation analysis, regression analysis, and mediation effect test. The following results are obtained:(1)There were significant differences in the total scores of non-adaptation to perfectionism, borderline personality, and eating disorders;Women scored significantly higher on the dimensions of fear of mistakes and doubts about action. There are significant gender differences in thinness, bulimia, body shape dissatisfaction, ineffectiveness, interpersonal distrust, and internal sensation. The body size dissatisfaction dimension has a clear difference in the BMI index, and the hyper restructuring score level is the highest.(2)Adolescent maladaptive perfectionism was significantly associated with social support, borderline personality, and eating disorders.Social support was significantly associated with borderline personality and eating disorders, and borderline personality was significantly associated with eating disorders.(3)Adolescent maladaptive perfectionism can directly affect eating disorders, and can also affect eating disorders through three indirect pathways, namely the separate mediating role of social support, the separate mediating role of marginal personality, and the chain mediation role of social support and marginal personality, the effects of which accounted for 11.7%,32.2% and 5.9% respectively.Based on the above findings, this study concludes that gender and BMI index have a certain impact on unsuitable perfectionism, borderline personality and eating disorder in adolescent eating disorder participants; There was a double correlation between maladaptive perfectionism, social support, borderline personality, and adolescent eating disorders;Unadaptive perfectionism can directly affect adolescent eating disorders, and can also affect adolescents’ tendency to eating disorders through social support and borderline personality. Therefore,in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders in adolescents in the future, the susceptibility mechanism of perfectionism in adolescents who do not adapt to them will give adolescents sufficient social support and maintain the healthy development of personality.
