Objective: In recent years,non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)has been widely concerned as a public health problem.Practice shows that NSSI is related to borderline personality disorder(BPD)and depressive disorder. The purpose of this study was to explore the similarities and differences of NSSI behavior between BPD and depressive disorder in adolescent women and its influencing factors. Methods: A total of 141 adolescent women were included in this study, including 52 BPD patients with NSSI behavior,38 depressive patients with NSSI behavior and 51 healthy controls. The Ottawa Self-injury Inventory(OSI),Childhood Trauma Questionnaire(CTQ),Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale(DERS),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)were used to evaluate the status of childhood trauma, emotion and self-injury.SPSS software was used for statistical analysis, and univariate analysis of variance was used for comparison of measurement data between groups;Chi square test was used to compare the count data between groups, and linear regression analysis was used to analyze the factors influencing NSSI frequency.Statistical results P < 0.05 means that the difference is statistically significant. Results: The common parts of self-injury in BPD group and depressive disorder group were arm / wrist, head and face, hand. The most common ways of self-injury were cutting, scratching, biting and hitting.Compared with the depressive disorder group, the number of self-injury [37(12.5,136.25)vs.15(6,56),Z =-2.283,P < 0.05],the number of self-injury ways [4(2,6)vs.2.5(2,4),Z =-2.154,P < 0.05],and the self-injury addiction [(14.21±6.687)vs.(10.58±5.346,t =-2.764,P < 0.05] was significantly higher than that in the depressive disorder group. There was no significant difference in the starting age of self-injury and the number of self-injury sites between the two groups. The scores of emotional abuse, emotional neglect and physical abuse in BPD group and depressive disorder group were significantly higher than those in healthy control group. The scores of emotional abuse in BPD group were higher than those in depressive disorder group, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).The scores of DERS,HAMD and HAMA in BPD group and depressive disorder group were higher than those in healthy control group. The scores of each scale in BPD group were higher than those in depressive disorder group, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Regression analysis showed that physical abuse and depression were the main influencing factors of NSSI frequency, and equation model could explain 18.5%(F = 9.890,P < 0.05)variation of self-injury frequency. Conclusion: Childhood trauma is a risk factor of NSSI in adolescents. The frequency of self-injury,the ways of self-injury and the addiction to self-injury in adolescent women with BPD were significantly higher than those in patients with depressive disorder. |
