| Objective:To evaluate the factors associated with the deficiency of gingival papillae between maxillary anterior teeth in periodontal healthy youth with no alveolar bone resorption,so as to provide reference for clinical works. Methods:A total of 110 gingival papillae between maxillary anterior teeth were selected from 23 periodontal heallhy graduate students from Shanxi Provincial People’s Hospital, through clinical examination and cone beam ct to measure various indicators of anterior gingival papilla, compare the difference in the incidence of gingival papillary defects in different dental positions, and analyze the relationship between gingival papillary defects and the vertical distance between adjacent teeth, root spacing and the width of the bone crest, etc. Results:In this study,23 were healthy periodontal subjects without alveolar bone resorption,a total of 110 anterior gingival papilla;the highest incidence of gingival nipple defects in group A was 30.4%,but there was no significant difference in the incidence of gingival nipple defects among the three groups(p> 0.05);The distance from contact point to bone crest(CPBC)、distance from contact point to proximal cemento-enamel junction(CP-p CEJ)and interproximal distance between roots 2(RD2)of the gingival papillary filling group were(4.99 ± 0.36)mm,(3.46 ± 0.43)mm,and(1.29 ± 0.28)mm,respectively,all significantly smaller than the gingival papillary deficient group(6.70±0.44)mm、(4.58±0.42)mm(1.45±0.22)mm,with a strong positive relationship between CP-BC and CP-p CEJ.The roc analysis showed that CP-BC and CP-p CEJ had high diagnostic value of gingival papilla defects.Conclusion:1.A lower proportion of upper anterior gingival papilla defects occurred in periodontally healthy Han youth, which were Ⅰ-degree defects;2.The change of the distance from proximal contact point to bone crest mainly comes from the change of distance from proximal contact point to proximal cemento-enamel junction;3.The distance between the distance from proximal contact point to bone crest, distance from proximal contact point to proximal cemento-enamel junction, and the width and length ratio of the crown have a high diagnostic value for the occurrence of upper anterior gingival papillary defects. |
