Clinical Study Of Chengqi Pingwei Powder In The Treatment Of Infantile Anorexia (Spleen And Stomach Stagnation Syndrome)

Objective: By observing the Chengqi Pingwei Powder clinical curative effect of treatment in infantile anorexia(stagnation syndrome of Spleen and stomach),in order to looking for a novelty and effective treatment method,and dialectical way of thinking in clinical work.Methods: This study were collected 87 cases of spleen and stomach stagnant syndrome of children with anorexia,randomly,assigned to TCM group and western medicine group,the former owned 43 case,the latter owned 44 case.during the treatment,the former dropped out 2 cases,the latter dropped out 1case,rejected 2cases,finally,41 cases of each groups were included in statistical analysis,Totally,the study owned 82 children with anorexia.TCM group was treated with Chengqi Pingwei Powder,the domperidone suspension and Bifidobacterium Lactobacillus triple viable tablet were provided to the western medicine group.the total treatment course was 4weeks,and each week as a treatment course.Follow-up was conducted once after the second and fourth courses of treatment and 3 months gone,individually,before and after treatment quantitative scores of syndromes were observed and recorded,then to performed the collect statistical analysis.Before starting treatment,two group characteristics were compared,which bearing with gender,disease’ Course,age,weight,height,total score of clinical syndrome,major and minor symptoms,as well as score of each syndrome,that all indicators corroborated P>0.05,meaning two group did not exist statistical worth and it were comparable.After four weeks treatment courses,The total effective rate of TCM group was 90.2%,and western medicine group was 73.2%,90.2%>73.2% and P<0.05,presenting that former had better clinical effect.Two period treatment courses after,the TCM group clinical manifestations which contain appetite loss,thirst,restless sleep showed that got a decent result.four weeks treatment courses went past,compared with the western medicine group,treatment group by the TCM showed that the total score of the overall syndrome,master and subordinate symptom were improved more pronounced(P<0.05).There were effective in reduce sign points in both group,which included the symptom scores of appetite loss,reduced food intake,bad breath,foul-smelling stool,dry stool,thirst,grinding teeth,the hot of hands and feet,agitated and irritability,restless sleep(P<0.05),and the former improved much better than the latter(P<0.05).TCM group could improve the score of complexion yellowing and urine yellowing syndrome,However,the western medicine group did not have this effect.the point of belly fullness,nausea and sickness,acid reflux and hiccup behavior were alleviated in both group(P<0.05),the level was similar and no distinct group difference(P>0.05).both groups failed to obviously improve the scores of weight(P>0.05).After 3 month passed by,to assess the long-term therapeutic effect once more,it was demonstrated that the TCM group had better effect in weight increase on the long-term when children with anorexia(P<0.05).Recurrence rate: After 3 month,therapeutic effect was evaluated again,the results showed that TCM group was 12.2%,the western medicine group was 36.6%,12.2%<36.6% and P=0.01(P<0.05),indicating that the Chinese medicine group had a lower recurrence rate and better long-term treatment effect.Conclusions:This study was confirming that Chengqi Pingwei Powder could effectively improve the TCM syndrome of children with anorexia(spleen and stomach stagnation syndrome),and the clinical effect was positive.In the field of lightening clinical manifestations,comparatively,in the short period(after two courses),the clinical manifestations of the TCM group which contain appetite loss,thirst,restless sleep showed that get a excellent result.four courses later,the TCM group could alleviate symptoms more better in the appetite loss,reduced food intake,bad breath,foul-smelling stool,dry stool,thirst,grinding teeth,the hot of hands and feet,agitated and irritability,restless sleep complexion yellowing and urine yellowing syndrome.In the long period(after 3 months),the TCM group weight increase in children with anorexia was better.There were no conspicuous untoward effect in the process of treatment when the children who eating Chengqi Pingwei Powder,it provides a novelty clinical treatment method and thought for the clinical treatment of infantile anorexia,which is worthy to promotion.
