Objective(s):In order to survey the infection status of reproductive chlamydia trachomatis(CT)and the knowledge of venereal diseases among young students in Kunming City, analyze the influencing factors of CT infection and related risk behavior characteristics of young students, and provide evidence for prevention and control measures of venereal diseases among young students.Methods:1.Using the cross-sectional study method and phased cluster sampling, professionally trained investigators conducted a face-to-face questionnaire survey in a separate classroom among students who met the inclusion criteria of this study and signed informed consent. To understand the general demographic characteristics, sexual behavior characteristics, knowledge and access to STIs,sexual education and publicity services, and medical treatment behavior of the survey subjects. After completing the questionnaire, students were instructed to use the Russell Cobas 4800CT/NG urine collection tube for urine sample collection. The collected urine samples were examined by CT using Roche Cobas 4800 CT/NG automatic double-test nucleic acid testing equipment in Yunnan Center for Disease Control and Prevention.2.Epidata3.1 software was used to input and verify the questionnaire, and SPSS26.0 software was used to analyze the relevant influencing factors of CT infection and condom use among young students in Kunming City.Result:1.General information: A total of 900 questionnaires and urine samples were valid.Boys and girls accounted for 55.89%(503/900)and 44.11%(397/900),respectively;Freshmen,sophomores and juniors accounted for 27.11%(244/900),30.22%(272/900)and 42.67%(384/900),respectively;2.Knowledge of STIs: The master level of STIs related knowledge was low,and the total score of STIs related knowledge was 10,with an average score of(4.16±1.95);3.CT infection status and influencing factors: The CT infection rate of 900 students was 6.22%(56/900),the infection rate of girls was 8.06%(32/397)and the infection rate of boys was 4.77%(24/503).There was statistical difference between the infection rate of boys and girls(P =0.001).The influencing factors of CT infection in male students were homosexuality(OR=8.408,95%CI=1.465-48.264,P=0.017),age of first sexual intercourse <15 year old male students(OR=44.960,95%CI=3.984-507.383,P=0.002),who did not know whether their sexual partner was infected with STDS OR AIDS(OR=4.517,95%CI=1.384-14.744,P=0.012)and did not receive sex education(OR=3.783,95%CI=1.340-10.677,P=0.012)male students had a higher risk of CT infection.Factors affecting CT infection in female students:The parents’ marital status was divorced OR widowed(OR=38.564,95%CI=2.279-652.591,P=0.011),the age of first sexual intercourse was 15-17 years old(OR=19.016,95%CI=2.895-124.908,P=0.002),did not use a condom for the first time(OR=9.857,95%CI=1.153-84.269,P=0.037),had sex in the last six months(OR=8.170,95%CI=1.090-61.247,P=0.041),so far did not adhere to the use of condoms(OR=158.273,95%CI=17.103-1464.679,P<0.001)had a higher risk of CT.4.Condom use rate and factors affecting condom use: The rate of condom use in the first sex,the rate of condom use in the latest sex and the rate of condom persistence were 77.36%(222/287),88.50%(254/287)and 76.66%(220/287),respectively.Age of first sexual intercourse ≥ 15 years(15-17 years: OR=6.233,95%CI=1.119-34.728,P=0.037;≥ 18 years old: OR=2.323,95%CI=1.178-4.580,P=0.015),the object of the first sexual intercourse is the male/girlfriend in love(OR=5.839,95%CI=1.598-21.339,P=0.008),the attitude of not accepting the temporary behavior(OR=3.201,95%CI=1.595-6.424,P=0.001),had no sexual partners with STDS OR HIV(OR=3.444,95%CI=1.375-8.628,P=0.008),and had talked with their parents about sexual health(OR=2.851,95%CI=1.323-6.145,P=0.008)More likely to use condoms for the first time.Hold a negative attitude towards temporary behavior(OR=11.354,95%CI=3.700-34.837,P<0.001),no STD OR HIV infection(OR= 3.931,95%CI=1.403-11.014,P=0.009),sexual health talk with parents(OR=7.128,95%CI=1.563-32.500,P=0.011)were more likely to have used condoms in their most recent sexual encounter.Conclusions:1.The survey students’ knowledge level of STD related knowledge is much lower than that of AIDS knowledge.AIDS prevention and control resources should be integrated, and other common sexually transmitted diseases should be added to expand the scope of publicity knowledge.2.The CT infection status of young students in a university in Kunming,Yunnan Province is serious, which is significantly higher than that of the general population, suggesting that the screening and monitoring of CT infection of young students should be strengthened.3.The age of first sexual intercourse is the most important influencing factors of CT infection in young students.4.Student condom use rate still has great room to improve, student condom use related factors are more.It is suggested that the condom publicity and promotion should be further strengthened in the student group,so as to further improve the condom use rate,so as to realize the effective control of CT infection. |
