Objective(s):To investigate the anxiety and information demand level of cesarean women before surgery in a Class III hospital, and analyze its influence factors,so as to provide specific suggestions for reducing the anxiety level of cesarean women before surgery and meeting the information demand in clinical work. Methods: This study is a single-center cross-sectional study.A total of 352 women who planned to undergo cesarean section in a Class III hospital from September 2020 to February 2021 were included in this study. After the patient enters the preoperative waiting room,Distribute a self-made preoperative general situation questionnaire to patients [The survey content includes the patient’s age, height, weight, body mass index, occupational status, medical expense payment method(self payment, new rural cooperative medical system, medical insurance),education level, family monthly income, pregnancy week(full term, early delivery),birth number(multipara, primipara),preoperative pain, emergency,ASA grade, sleep quality at night before operation, previous operation history Previous experience of adverse anesthesia] and Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale(APAIS)(Use APAIS to score the psychological state of the following six items: I am worried about anesthesia:I have been thinking about anesthesia;I want to know as much about anesthesia as possible;I have been thinking about surgery;I am worried about surgery;I want to know as much about surgery as possible. The six items of APAIS are all scored at five levels: 1 for nothing,2 for some,3 for moderate, and 4 for obvious,5 points is very obvious).Preoperative anxiety assessment was performed on patients.Epidate3.1 was used for data entry and sorting, and SPSS 25 was used to Analyze the data. The counting data is expressed by the percentage of frequency. The difference between groups is expressed by the chisquare test, and Pearson correlation test is used for correlation analysis. The outcome is binary variable, and binary logistic regression is used to analyze the influencing factors. The outcome is hierarchical variable, and orderly logistic regression is used to analyze the influencing factors. The difference between the two sides is statistically significant(P<0.05).Results:(1)In this study,a total of 352 women undergoing cesarean section participated in the questionnaire survey.Due to incomplete data, the 17-point questionnaire was discarded, and 335 valid questionnaires were finally recovered, with an effective rate of 95.17%.(2)Preoperative anxiety level of women delivered by cesarean section: According to the Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale(APAIS),preoperative anxiety score ≥12 was considered as having preoperative anxiety. In this study,a total of 137 patients had preoperative anxiety, and the prevalence rate was 40.9%(137/335).The overall preoperative anxiety score of patients was(11.54±2.81)points,including anesthesia related anxiety score(4.76±1.63)points and surgery related anxiety score(6.78±1.67)points.(3)Current status of preoperative information needs in women undergoing cesarean section: According to the Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale(APAIS)information needs score of ≥5,there were 99 patients with moderate and above information needs,29.5%(99/335)women with information needs, and the total score of information needs was(3.93 ±1.69),of which the score of anesthesia-related information requirements was(1.91±0.89)and the score of surgery-related information requirements was(2.02± 0.89).(4)The total preoperative anxiety score was associated with information needs by0.456,anesthesia-related anxiety with information needs by 0.408,and surgery-related anxiety with information needs by 0.370.(5)The influencing factors of preoperative anxiety in women undergoing cesarean section: taking the presence of anxiety as the dependent variable and the statistically significant factors of univariate analysis as independent variables,it can be seen through binary logistic regression analysis that the education level, whether it is emergency, the quality of sleep before surgery, whether there is a history of poor anesthesia experience, preoperative pain and information demand are statistically significant(p<0.05).(6)The influencing factors of preoperative information demand of women undergoing cesarean section: taking the information demand level as the dependent variable and the statistically significant factors of univariate analysis as the independent variable,it can be seen that the education level, sleep quality of the night before surgery, whether there is a history of adverse anesthesia experience, and occupational status have a significant significance on the information demand level(p<0.05).Conclusion(s):(1)The prevalence of preoperative anxiety in women undergoing cesarean section was 40.9%.Patients with high levels of education, emergency cesarean section, preoperative pain, poor sleep quality the night before surgery,a history of adverse anesthesia experiences, and high information needs are prone to anxiety.(2)The proportion of women who had had a cesarean section had a preoperative need for information.Cesarean section patients with occupational status, high education, poor sleep quality the night before surgery, and a history of poor anesthesia experience are more thirsty for information.
