| Objective: Through the systematic observation of TCM clinical pathway during the children with pneumonia cough(phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome)in our hospital, evaluating objective the effect of TCM clinical pathway in children with pneumonia cough.Promoting its application with its advantages.Improving it on the shortcomings. So as to promote the application of TCM clinical pathway in the clinical work of pneumonia cough, improve the treatment of pediatric pneumonia.Method: A total of 132 children with pediatric pneumonia(phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome)the period from January 2019 to December 2020 who were hospitalized in the department of pediatrics of Shanghai municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, according to the order of visit time there are 66 cases in each group. The control group with western medicine therapy, and the treatment group was treated according to the clinical pathway of TCM.The clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome score after 3 days of treatment and at the end of treatment,White blood cell count,Antibiotic use, length of stay, the cost of western medicine, and total cost were compared between the two groups.Result:(1)A total of 132 children conforming to the standards were included in this study, they were eventually completed,No cases of falling out.(2)Before therapy, there were no significant differences in gender, age, course of disease and syndrome score distribution of TCM among the two groups(P>0.05).(3)In the therapy group,There were 35 cases were clinical cured,25 cases were obviously effective and 6 cases were valid. In the control group,There were 12 cases were clinical cured,24 cases were obviously effective and 30 cases were valid. The effective rates all were 100%,but the clinical cure rate was 53.03% in the treatment group and 18.18% in another group, showing significant statistical differences(P<0.01).(4)The total scores of the two groups were statistically significant differences after 3 days of therapy and at the end of therapy compared with before therapy(P<0.01),and there were also statistically significant differences in the comparison among the two groups(P<0.01).(5)The white blood cell counts of the two groups were statistically statistical differences after therapy than before(P<0.01),and there was a statistical difference during the two groups after therapy(P<0.05).(6)There are significant differences in the use of antibiotics between the two groups after treatment(P<0.01).(7)The length of stay was 6 days in the therapy group and 7 days in the control group, presenting a statistically significant differences(P<0.01).(8)There were statistically differences during the two therapy in the cost and total cost of western medicine in hospital(P<0.01).Conclusion: The therapy group was obviously better than the control group in clinical efficacy. The length of stay, cost of western medicine, white blood cell count, use of two antibiotics, and total cost therapy group are all lower than the another group. The TCM syndrome scores of both groups after 3 days of therapy and at the end of therapy were obviously improved compared with those at the beginning. The white blood cell count at the end of the therapy was also obviously improved, and the therapy group was better than the another group. It has been proved that the implementation of TCM clinical pathway in pediatric pneumonia(Phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome)can obviously improve improve the cure rate and the symptoms, and Laboratory examination white blood cell count.shortening the length of hospitalization.reducing the use of antibiotics, and reduce the cost of hospitalization.which can be widely promoted in clinical practice. |
