Research On Different Versions,Anthologies And Spread Of Ouyang Xiu’s Works

As the leader of the Northern Song Dynasty literary world,Ouyang Xiu successfully led the Northern Song Dynasty poetry innovation movement,and created a variety of works throughout his life.In the fields of prose,poetry,epigraphy,history,etc.He has achieved high achievements,and is highly respected by later generations of literati.As early as the Northern Song Dynasty,Ouyang Xiu’s works were compiled into collections by later generations,and they were published continuously.Therefore,there are many editions of Ouyang Xiu’s works,but the selection of essays in each edition is different,and the quality varies.In order to change this phenomenon,Zhou Bida and others in the Southern Song Dynasty spent more than five years compiling and encarving the 153 volumes of Ouyang wenzhonggongji.Among them,apart from Jushiji was edited by Ouyang Xiu himself in his later years,the rest of the episodes were all edited by Zhou Bida.Once this Qingyuan block-printed edition came out,it became the ancestral copy of later generations,and it has a huge influence.On this basis,the Ming and Qing dynasties re-engraved 135 volumes,130 volumes and 105 volumes.While the complete works of Ouyang Xiu are popular,many works have been compiled into various anthologies,such as the 20 volumes of Ouyangxiansheng wencui,10 volumes of Ouyangwenzhonggong wenchao,21 volumes of Liuyijushi shiji and so on.Among them,Ouyangxiansheng wencui edited by Chen Liang in the Southern Song Dynasty was the best and had the widest influence,and was later included in the Siku Quanshu.In the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,various excerpts and selected editions were spread.A detailed review of the main editions,selections,and abridged editions of Ouyang Xiu’s collection in the Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties will help to fully understand Ouyang Xiu’s collection version,circulation and acceptance.On this basis,a preliminary discussion of the reasons for the popularity of Ouyang Xiu’s collection and its significance to the present world will help to trace the origin and deepen the understanding of Ouyang Xiu’s cultural world.Under the pursuit of truthfulness in the text,it may be beneficial to promote its spread.
