| Courses are arranged and designed according to teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching methods and so on.Course is a key factor in achieving training goal.In 2010,the Ministry of Education formulated the "A Full-time Guiding Training Program" for International Students Majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(MTCSOL).According to the actual situation,colleges and universities make adjustments to their courses.However,there are still some differences in the curriculum system.As the object of course implementation,students can provide the most direct feedback about the course.Therefore,it is of great significance to study students’ satisfaction with the course.In Fujian Province,MTCSOL are offered in Xiamen University,Fujian Normal University,and Huaqiao University.The three universities have been committed to the implementation of the strategy of international promotion of Chinese,and enjoy high reputation both at home and abroad.The thesis selects international students of MTCSOL from Overseas Education College in Xiamen University,Overseas Education College in Fujian Normal University,and Chinese Language College in Huaqiao University as the research objects.The thesis investigates and analyzes students’ course satisfaction through questionnaire survey and interview.A total of 82 valid questionnaires were recovered.In addition,10 international students were randomly selected from three universities to conduct semi-structured interviews to supplement.It is found that there are the following shortcomings:The proportion of Basic Chinese Courses is insufficient,and linguistic theory cannot instruct practice directly;Some course content is repeated,and the teaching practice arrangement is not adequate;The courses are difficult and far away from contemporary culture,and there are less opportunities for cultural teaching practice;Not enough attention is paid to Method Courses,and practice is out of touch with theory;Insufficient feature courses are offered,and the length of course study is not flexible enough.In response to the above shortcomings,the author suggests:Increase the proportion of Basic Chinese Courses and arrange the key points according to the theoretical depth;Clarify the key points of each course and add classroom observation activities;Optimize the teaching contents and pay attention to cultural teaching practice;Increase the emphasis on Method Courses and choose supplementary textbooks suitable for international students;Set up featured courses in Fujian region and adjust the training years flexibly.It is hoped that the training program can be optimized and the training quality of MTCSOL can be improved. |
