In recent years,with the continuous enhancement of China’s comprehensive strength,the number of foreign Chinese learners is also growing rapidly,and the cause of international Chinese education has ushered in a new period of development.At the same time,we should also realize that the cause of international Chinese language education is also facing new challenges in the new era and environment.How to integrate international Chinese language education with the new era and achieve high-quality teaching has become a common concern of international Chinese language educators.Through consulting relevant materials,the author finds that the multimodal teaching model is a teaching model that can be widely used in language teaching,and is different from traditional teaching models.This teaching model focuses on students,emphasizing the full mobilization and stimulation of students’ multiple senses,in order to stimulate students’ interest in learning and improve the quality of teachers’ teaching.Multimodal mode can help teachers and students use multiple modal resources such as spoken language,text,images,audio,video,and body movements to share information and communicate emotions in real time,thereby effectively reducing the occurrence of negative phenomena in classroom teaching,such as dull classroom atmosphere,solidified teaching interaction patterns,and poor teaching effectiveness.Based on this,this article conducts comprehensive theoretical research and detailed teaching design on the application of multimodal teaching mode to intermediate Chinese comprehensive courses,with a view to exploring more effective teaching methods and methods for international Chinese teaching through teaching practice.First of all,this article describes the purpose and significance of the research before teaching design,and reviews relevant literature on multimodal teaching,intermediate Chinese comprehensive courses,and multimodal teaching models applied to international Chinese education.Secondly,this article further analyzes and fully discusses the feasibility and teaching elements of applying multimodal teaching mode to intermediate Chinese comprehensive courses,laying a solid theoretical foundation for designing teaching cases.The teaching design case is the essence of the main body of the paper.This paper,based on the intermediate Chinese comprehensive course textbook "Climbing · Intermediate Chinese Course"(Volume I),selects two courses "Cowherd and Weaver Girl" and "Past Events" for teaching design,runs the multimodal teaching mode through the whole teaching process,and asks and solicits the opinions of skilled teachers,repeatedly polish and improve the teaching design,so as to achieve the expected effect in teaching practice.Finally,based on the overall evaluation of teaching practice and instructional design,this article proposes targeted improvement suggestions on the application of multimodal teaching mode to the teaching of intermediate Chinese comprehensive courses,combining relevant theories and professional knowledge.It is hoped that this study can further enrich the research results of multimodal teaching mode applied to international Chinese teaching,and provide certain reference value and reference for relevant research fields.
