| Chinese learners at the intermediate stage should have certain listening,speaking,reading,and writing abilities,as well as preliminary translation skills,and be able to complete more complex communication tasks.At this stage,learners need to consolidate basic knowledge,expand and accumulate knowledge including verbal knowledge,relatively difficult new words,complex topics,and deeper cultural knowledge.This is a critical period for connecting the preceding with the following,and improving the knowledge system.Through a semester long classroom observation,the author found that learners generally experience a decline in learning interest,lack of learning enthusiasm,and low learning efficiency.This article applies the highly interesting variety show "Informal Talks" to intermediate oral English classes,hoping to enhance learners’ interest in learning,stimulate their potential and enthusiasm for learning,and improve their learning effectiveness.From a macro perspective,this study aims to enrich the teaching methods of intermediate Chinese spoken language classes,highlight the characteristics of oral language classes,and enhance learners’ interest in learning.It introduces topics that are closer to life and more novel in Informal Talks,making learners’ oral expression more relevant to daily life.Determine the purpose of the research through classroom observation,sort out and summarize the current situation of relevant research,find relevant theoretical basis,analyze the characteristics and relevant elements of intermediate spoken Chinese classes,determine the feasibility and application advantages of "Informal Talks" applied to intermediate spoken Chinese classes,organically combine "Informal Talks" with intermediate spoken Chinese classes,write case designs and conduct case analysis for the four teaching links of review,introduction,explanation,and practice.Apply teaching practice to actual classrooms,test the teaching effect through after-class interviews,summarize yourself,and propose application suggestions. |
