With the popularity of the Internet,the internet addiction of teenagers is becoming more and more serious,which has seriously affected teenagers’ physical and mental health and troubled countless families and schools.This practice selected psychological text Internet Addiction in Children and Adolescents — Risk Factors,Assessment,and Treatment(Chapters 12-13)for Chinese translation practice.Based on the analysis of the original text,this report takes skopos theory as the theoretical guidance,and specifically follows the rules of skopos,coherence and fidelity to complete the translation practice of this text,and then summarizes the problems encountered in the translation process and the corresponding solutions,focusing on the analysis of typical cases from the lexical,syntactic and textual levels.This report probes into the translation techniques adopted in order to provide reference for the translation of similar texts.The major findings are as follows: There are a lot of parentheses in the source text,usually with commas,dashes,and so on connected to the main sentences.In addition,some sentences in the source text do not have any conjunctions,but the implied logical relationships need to be translated.
