A Study On The Governor Of Tanzhou In The Southern Song Dynasty

Tanzhou is located in the heart of the Dongting Lake area and Xiangjiang River basin.It is an important city connecting Hubei and Guangdong.It is also an important city to manage minority areas.For a long time,Tanzhou has been the political and economic center of Jinghu South Road.During the Northern Song Dynasty,it received the attention of the court because of its special geographical location.During the Northern Song Dynasty,the role of Tanzhou in stabilizing the internal order of the Hubei and Hunan region became increasingly prominent.This paper takes the group of Tanzhou governors as the starting point.The investigation of the appointment and performance of the governors of Tanzhou,as well as the governance focus and case study in different periods.Observe the relationship between the governor group of Tanzhou and the social situation of Tanzhou,and the relationship between the governor group of Tanzhou and the policy changes of the Southern Song Dynasty.In terms of the appointment and removal of the governors of Tanzhou,we mainly study the five aspects of the governors of Tanzhou,such as the native place,term of office,reasons for holding office,transfer,rewards and punishments,and analyze the influencing factors of these changes by comparing the changes in different periods.In terms of the performance of the governors of Tanzhou,through the investigation of the activities of the governors of Tanzhou,we can see that the vast majority of them have achieved good political achievements in the fields of military affairs,civil affairs,finance and so on.In military terms,resolving and preventing regional turmoil;In terms of civil affairs,disaster relief and peace for the people,and the establishment of storage valleys;Governing witchcraft and changing customs;In terms of finance,reducing taxes,developing the economy,and so on.Have a preliminary understanding of the performance of Tanzhou Prefecture Governor.In terms of the governance focus and case study of the governor of Tanzhou in different periods,this paper discusses the focus of the governor of Tanzhou in performing his duties in different periods,and analyzes the reasons for its governance focus.Then,through the case study of the five prefectures,Xiang Ziyi,Liu Gong,Li Chun,Zhen Dexiu,and Chen Wei.From the perspective of individual cases,further explore the historical characteristics of the Tanzhou magistrate group in different periods and their contributions to the social development of Tanzhou.
