| Lu Xun is a great writer,thinker and revolutionary in China,whose spirit has influenced generation after generation of Chinese people.Mr.Lu Xun has written many works in his life,among which Diary of a Madman is his first short vernacular journal novel,which is also the first modern vernacular novel in China.It is known as a classic work and occupies an important position in the field of literature.In order to promote the thought and spirit of Lu Xun,the author tries to create the picture book of the novel Diary of a Madman from the research direction of illustration art.The innovation of this topic is to use the surrealist style that was born at the same time as the novel Diary of a Madman to create the picture book.The core content of the thesis is divided into three parts.The first part(Chapter 2)elaborates on the art school of surrealism and Lu Xun’s short story Diary of a Madman,including its background,reasons and content,and sorts out the relationship between the two in content and form.The second part(Chapter 3)gives an overview of picture books and analyzes the artistic characteristics of picture books adapted from short stories with examples.It mainly discusses from three aspects: the innovation of style,the unity of structure and the coherence of picture.The third part(Chapter 4)gives a detailed description of the creation of the picture book Diary of a Madman,including three parts: data collection and arrangement,preliminary design work and creation process.In the preliminary design work,the design ideas of characters,scenes and colors are presented.In the creation process,the continuous exploration of creative content is mainly presented,such as composition design,style reflection and picture acceptance.The innovation of this thesis lies in drawing the picture book of Lu Xun’s short story Diary of a Madman in the style of surrealism,making attempts in the aspects of artistic image,artistic structure,artistic language and so on,using pictures that are more adaptable to the visual habits of contemporary people to express Chinese characters and tell Chinese stories,so that readers can experience the artistic charm of picture books. |
