Research On The Creation Of Rural Theme Documentaries From The Perspective Of Rural Revitalization

If the nation wants to rejuvenate,the countryside must be revitalized,and the rural revitalization strategy shoulders the important mission of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Since the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,the creators of rural theme documentaries have used objective and realistic footage to record the process of rural revitalization and the changes in farmers’ thinking,and numerous excellent rural theme documentaries have emerged.The thesis focuses on the creation of rural theme documentaries.Firstly,the case study method is used to collect and analyze a large number of outstanding rural theme documentaries,and to summarize and reflect on them.Secondly,through a comparative study method,comparing the best rural theme documentaries from different styles,directors and countries,and summarising and analysing the similarities and differences in their creative approaches.Again,the textual research method is used to sort out the creative methods of documentaries on rural themes and to improve the theoretical system.Finally,combined with the creation of the graduation work The Fragrance of Melons and Fruits in Dongshigu Village,discusses the techniques and art of creating rural-themed documentaries in the context of rural revitalisation.The thesis is divided into three parts,of which the second part is the focus part of the thesis.The first part includes the introduction and the first chapter of the dissertation,which mainly compares the current situation of domestic and foreign researches,clarifies the background of the rural revitalization strategy and the significance of its implementation,rationalizes the development history of rural theme documentaries,and defines the concept of rural theme documentaries.It summarizes the importance of creating documentaries on rural themes in the context of rural revitalization.The second part includes chapters 2 to 4 of the dissertation,mainly discussing three aspects of rural documentaries,namely,the intention of selecting the topic,creative style,and audio-visual techniques:Combining the content of the rural revitalization strategy,we analyze the intention of rural documentaries from three aspects:the scope of selection,the principles of selection and the expression of intention,and proposes that the selection of rural documentaries should follow the five principles of authenticity,topicality,humanity,typicality and image,and should show the perseverance and development of rural culture,the pursuit of a better life by farmers and the difficulties and opportunities of agricultural development;An analyzes of the creation style of rural documentaries in the context of viewpoint documentary,futuristic style,direct film theory and real film theory,and advocates that the creation styles of rural documentaries at this stage should be diversified and united to serve the theme of rural revitalization together;To analyzes the audio-visual language of rural documentaries from three aspects: visual language,auditory language and editing techniques,and believes that the audiovisual design of rural documentaries should revolve around enriching rural images,creating rural contexts,enhancing the sense of immersion and constructing narrative scenarios,and presenting a relaxed audiovisual design.The third part is the fifth chapter of the thesis,mainly reflecting on the creation of the graduation work The Fragrance of Melons and Fruits in Dongshigu Village.Although the documentary shows the struggle of farmers and presents the theme of rural revitalization in a small way,it fails to show the full picture of rural revitalization,and the storytelling technique is not skilful enough.In the context of rural revitalization,only by continuously digging up the stories of the struggle of the pioneers of rural revitalization and presenting a clear narrative with images can we retain the audience.With the comprehensive implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,the creators of rural theme documentaries films should seize the pulse of the development of the times,actively focus on rural development,rationally use a variety of documentary creation styles and techniques,and constantly explore new methods and new ways of rural theme documentaries creation to achieve new breakthroughs and development.
