Subject core literacy refers to the comprehensive literacy aimed at promoting the development of students’ cultural awareness,thinking quality,knowledge level and learning ability.It is the requirement to improve teachers’ subject core literacy to develop students’ subject core literacy.The research on the construction of support platform for the improvement of subject core literacy of English teachers in township junior middle schools in Guangxi can provide necessary support for the development of subject core literacy of teachers,and at the same time find out the practical problems in the development of subject core literacy of English teachers in township junior middle schools in Guangxi,so as to provide practical help for the support of the development of subject core literacy of teachers from the combination of theory and practice.Based on the framework divided by the theory,this paper conducts a corresponding survey on the subject core literacy of English teachers in township junior middle schools in Guangxi.Through the analysis of the survey data,it concludes that the support platform construction for the improvement of subject core literacy of English teachers in township junior middle schools in Guangxi mainly has the following deficiencies: material,capital,resources,technology,and psychological lack of professional identity and emotional care.The main reasons for the above problems are analyzed from the subjective and objective aspects.The subjective aspects include the backward management concept of educational administrators,the lack of effective communication of teachers and the weak awareness of informatization;the objective aspects include the limitations of towns and towns and the low level of informatization.According to the practical problems of the development of teachers’ subject core literacy and the deficiencies of the current support platform research,a lot of literature and journals were consulted,and the social support theory was determined as the theoretical guidance for the construction of support platform,and the improvement of teachers’ subject core literacy was supported from four dimensions: material,institutional,activity and psychology.Research methods such as questionnaire method,interview method and observation method will be used in the investigation,aiming to understand the practical problems and causes of the subject core literacy of English teachers in township junior middle schools,so as to make a beneficial analysis on the construction of a support platform for teachers’ subject core literacy.Based on the theory of social support,this study mainly constructs the support platform from four dimensions,and divides each dimension in detail.In terms of material support,it is divided into learning resources,financial support,learning environment,and hardware facilities.From the construction of system support platform,it can be divided into training support,incentive support,evaluation support and learning support.In terms of activity support,it can be divided into teaching competition support,course evaluation support,school-based curriculum development support and network research support.In terms of psychological support,it is divided into professional identity support,colleague mutual support,emotional care support,and learning ethos support.The advantages of this study are the innovation of research objects and construction methods,while the disadvantages of this study are the insufficient number of research objects,resulting in insufficient research data.
