Wang Xuezhong’s Research On Western Painting Art

Wang Xuezhong is an outstanding contemporary artist and educator in my country,as well as an advocate of modern literati painting and "jingpai" calligraphy.Little is known about his achievements in the field of Western painting art.Wang Xuezhong not only received a systematic Western painting education,but also his experience in teaching Western painting in the fine arts teaching and research section of the former Tianjin University Department of Architecture has influenced a group of architectural teachers and students.Wang Xuezhong,who has learned Chinese and Western styles,has not only created Western paintings with a variety of art themes,but has always been accompanied by the construction of art theories in this process,paying attention to communication between different majors,and has always maintained his loyalty to his own artistic pursuits.Especially in the middle of the 20 th century,landscape paintings whose purpose is to show their breasts,rather than being regarded as "processes" by him,show Wang Xuezhong’s sincerity in art and calmness in life.Western painting has become one of Wang Xuezhong’s many forms of artistic expression,enriching the visible image of his artistic thoughts,and has positive practical significance and documentary value for the exploration of the face of Chinese art in the 20 th century.Since Mr.Wang Xuezhong’s time from contact with Western painting art to Western painting creation was mostly concentrated in the 20 th century when Chinese art changes and the collision and integration of Chinese and Western cultures,this article combines the background of the times and case analysis as a research idea,based on Wang Xuezhong’s works and related works.The sorting of the documents is divided into two periods: "the localized concrete painting characteristics of western painting in the middle of the 20 th century" and "the transformation of imagery painting and abstract painting in the late 20 th century".On this basis,it will specifically elaborate on the origins of Wang Xuezhong’s 20 th century Western painting and art works,the classification of themes,the preliminary exploration of concrete painting,the pursuit of new changes in fashion,and the influence of Wang Xuezhong’s western paintings on the "internal" and "external" aspects.
