Research On Longzhou Dialect Phonetics

Longzhou Guangdong dialect in Guangxi belongs to yongxun dialect.This paper takes Longzhou Cantonese dialect as the research object,based on the first-hand materials obtained from my field investigation,using the method of systematic description and comparison,sums up the phonetic system and its characteristics of Longzhou Cantonese dialect.It compares Longzhou Cantonese dialect with Chinese ancient pronunciation,Guangzhou dialect and Nanning Bai dialect in a diachronic and synchronic way,showing the phonetic features of Longzhou Cantonese dialect for the first time It provides valuable materials and conclusions for the study of Cantonese dialect.The paper consists of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces Longzhou’s human geography and language distribution,Longzhou Cantonese dialect and related research status,research purposes and significance,research methods and so on.The second chapter is the phonetic system of Longzhou Cantonese dialect,which comprehensively describes the phonological system and its characteristics of Longzhou Cantonese dialect,and analyzes the phenomenon of literary and colloquial reading.The third chapter is the comparison between Longzhou Cantonese dialect and the middle ancient pronunciation,and clarifies the corresponding relationship between Longzhou Cantonese dialect and middle ancient pronunciation.The fourth chapter compares Longzhou Cantonese dialect with Guangzhou dialect and Nanning vernacular,analyzes the similarities and differences of Longzhou Cantonese dialect with Guangzhou dialect and Nanning vernacular,and reveals the phonetic characteristics of Longzhou Cantonese dialect.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the main conclusions and points out the deficiencies.
