At the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party put forward the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy and took it as a strategic deployment to solve the fundamental problems of agriculture,rural areas and farmers that are related to the national economy and people’s livelihood.The documentary on the theme of rural revitalization records the great journey of China’s rural modernization.It can show the world the history of China’s struggle to get rid of poverty and move towards the road of rejuvenation,and record the spiritual strength and the theme of the times of rural revitalization with camera images.The study of the documentaries on the theme of rural revitalization and the image of grass-roots cadres is of great theoretical and practical value in promoting the work of rural revitalization,publicizing the national historic achievements and the spirit of historic change,disseminating rural culture,and recording history.Rural grassroots cadres,as a group of grassroots cadres in China,have become a hot issue in the field of documentaries with the deepening of their political tasks and the specialization of grassroots work.In the documentary on rural revitalization,establishing a good role image of grass-roots cadres is an important way to strengthen their team building,and also an inevitable need to improve the quality of rural grass-roots party organizations.This thesis focuses on the creation of documentary films on the theme of rural revitalization,using literature research,case analysis,interview and other research methods,based on documentary creation theory,combined with film and television narratology,communication,role theory and other multi-disciplinary theories,on the basis of observing and studying a large number of excellent documentary films,summarizes and combs nearly 30 documentary films on the theme of rural revitalization,and refines the expression and presentation methods of grass-roots cadres’ images.Think about the close relationship between documentaries and social development and evolution,social ideology and social cultural structure,grasp the more profound spiritual core behind the narrative text of documentaries,and discuss the development strategy of this theme documentary under the strategy of "rural revitalization".It is expected to inject fresh blood into the practical creation and theoretical research of documentaries on rural revitalization,and show the efforts made by grassroots cadres in the national revitalization strategy,so as to attract the attention and attention of the audience.This thesis consists of five chapters,the main contents are as follows:The first chapter traces the theoretical origin of rural revitalization theme documentaries and grassroots cadres.In relevant academic papers,scholars summarized the concept definition of rural revitalization documentaries.Secondly,summarize and sort out the definition of grassroots cadres and their new requirements of the times under the rural revitalization strategy;Finally,explore relevant theories that have guiding significance for the image of grassroots cadres in this subject matter documentary.The second chapter focuses on exploring the value of shaping grassroots cadres in rural revitalization themed documentaries.In the context of the rural revitalization strategy and society,rural revitalization themed documentaries always maintain mainstream thinking in shaping the image of grassroots cadres,presenting the "needle hole spirit" of grassroots cadres in political leadership,which is "a thousand pieces of money above,a needle below",and showcasing the "overall situation consciousness" of all Chinese revitalizers;Having a leading role in demonstrating exemplary leadership and providing educational guidance for China’s governance plan;There is also a record of the tireless efforts made by Chinese leaders and cadres in this specific era to achieve the grand goal of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.In the process of recording the revitalization,the achievements made in the next stage are preserved,and the cadres,rural areas,and the people are recorded.The third chapter focuses on the narrative module of the rural revitalization theme documentary.Mainly from the perspective of narrative construction,structure,techniques,three aspects of specific analysis.The perspective includes the combination of omniscient perspective and internal perspective;The structure is analyzed from two aspects: step by step and parallel plate;The techniques highlight the use of suspense,details,and contradictions.The fourth chapter analyzes and studies the audio-visual presentation in the rural revitalization theme documentary.It is divided into two parts: image and hearing.Long lens,empty lens,light and shadow are used to tell stories of grassroots cadres and emotional changes of cadres.In terms of hearing,it mainly discusses the use of commonly used techniques in documentary films,including the use of dialects,simultaneous sounds,and music in building the image of grassroots cadres.The fifth chapter summarize and prospect the development strategies for shaping grassroots cadres in documentaries on rural revitalization.On the one hand,we should pay attention to the presentation of the actual situation in rural areas: under the premise of seeking truth,we should balance the expression of cadres’ achievements and comprehensively demonstrate their comprehensive qualities.Secondly,it is necessary to keep up with the pace of
