| Vocabulary learning plays an important role in English learning,and the choice of vocabulary learning strategies determines students’ learning efficiency and results.However,as far as the current situation is concerned,senior high school students still adopt the method of rote learning English vocabulary.How to optimize vocabulary learning strategies and effectively improve English vocabulary has always been a problem to be solved in the field of both learning and teaching.With the development of information technology in recent years,mobile devices have been widely used in every aspect of daily life,which has exerted a profound impact on English learning.In terms of vocabulary learning,mobile learning software not only enriches learning resources and learning methods,but also optimizes learning strategies.Through the internal scientific learning methods,complete practices and evaluation systems,a number of word learning software on the market comprehensively mobilize a variety of learning strategies to meet the individual needs of senior high school students’ vocabulary learning,making vocabulary learning interesting and effective.This study attempts to combine the mobile learning software Shanbay App with vocabulary teaching to find a new way to optimize students’ vocabulary learning strategies and improve their vocabulary level.The questions explored in this study are as follows: First,what is the impact of the Application of mobile learning in senior high school English vocabulary teaching on students’ enthusiasm for vocabulary learning?Second,what is the impact of the Application of mobile learning in senior high school English vocabulary teaching on students’ vocabulary learning strategies? Third,compared with the traditional mode of preview and review,what is the impact of mobile learning on students’ English vocabulary learning effect?In this study,two parallel classes in Grade One of a senior high school in Dalian were selected as the experimental class and the control class.A 12-week experiment was conducted on the experimental class,and a variety of vocabulary learning strategies were fully mobilized with the help of Shanbay App.It uses the characteristics of multi-modal discourse system to make the best choice,so as to achieve a vivid and flexible effect in vocabulary learning.In the visual mode,Shanbay App emphasizes key information through colorful,bright and prominent founts,while in the auditory mode,it coordinates memory through reading and the context of example sentences.The most important is the collaboration between visual and auditory modes.The experimental results show that the software can optimize students’ vocabulary learning strategies,improve their interest in vocabulary learning,enrich vocabulary learning resources,and carry out high-frequency review,so as to bid farewell to the monotonous traditional vocabulary learning methods.Finally it is conducive to the improvement of students’ vocabulary level.The results of this study can be used for reference and enlightenment to optimize senior high school English vocabulary learning strategies by using mobile learning software. |
