| Vocabulary is the cornerstone of language,vocabulary is an important basis to measure the language proficiency of language learners.So vocabulary teaching is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and teaching research.This article explores the integration of Thai students’ cognitive level,personality traits,and game teaching methods through the author’s practice in teaching Chinese at the Pariyatrangsan School in Thailand.The aim is to integrate games into vocabulary teaching and improve the fun and efficiency of vocabulary teaching in Thai Middle and Primary Chinese class.The Pariyatrangsan School in Thailand is representative and typical.The school has a long history of establishment,a large number of students,and rich experience in foreign language teaching.The teaching of Chinese has characteristics and room for improvement in curriculum arrangement,assessment system,teaching methods,and other aspects.The paper uses methods such as questionnaire survey,interview,class observation and so on.It conducts a follow-up survey on the application of game teaching method in the elementary Chinese vocabulary teaching in the school,divided into three stages: early,middle,and later.The current teaching achievements and existing problems are mastered.The paper designs Chinese vocabulary teaching with game teaching method based on the age,cognitive level,and vocabulary level of the students in the author’s teaching class.It conducts teaching experiments,and compares the teaching results of the experimental class and the control class,verifying the effectiveness of Chinese vocabulary game teaching.Based on experiments,the design and practice of elementary Chinese vocabulary game teaching are carried out.The paper summarizes the advantages of the game teaching method in vocabulary teaching: it can effectively improve students’ interest in learning,enhance students’ memory of what they have learned,promote cooperative learning among students,and enrich the teaching forms of Chinese class.For future teaching,based on the author’s frontline teaching experience,the paper proposes suggestions: teachers should prevent excessive "entertainment" in the classroom,control teaching hours,pay attention to safety hazards,control the difficulty of games,maintain a sense of authority,establish a certain reward and punishment mechanism,match game design with teaching objectives,and choose some popular competitive games among students. |
