The Representation And Application Of Visual Metaphors In Animated Short Films

Combining "visual metaphor" with animated short films is a new perspective in the study of animated short films.The combination of visual metaphor and animated short film is feasible and inevitable.As a comprehensive visual art,animation has certain "metaphor" characteristics in its own "artistry" and "narrative".Under the domination of visual metaphors,the visual elements of animation short films interact with each other to enhance the artistic expression within the short films.This reasearch takes the connection between visual metaphors and animated short films as the starting point,combines examples to explain the performance characteristics of visual metaphors in animated short films,discusses the performance and application of visual metaphors in animated short films,summarizes its application principles and realization methods,and analyzes the application value of visual metaphors in animated short films from the perspectives of both creators and audiences.Specifically,we analyze the performance and application of visual metaphors in animated short films from the perspective of characterization,scene suggestion,camera arrangement and theme connotation,and then point out the value and significance of visual metaphors,which not only enriches the artistic expression of animation,but also arouses the resonance of the audience.I also discusses the application and performance of visual metaphors in animated short films in the context of my personal work "Time",and analyzes the performance of visual metaphors in animated short films from the four aspects of creation,characterization,performance action,scene design and camera language,and further elaborates on the use of visual metaphors in practice to enhance the artistic expression and narrative of animated short films.
