David Pepper’s Thought Of Ecological Justice

In recent years,ecological problems have gradually moved from the edge of society to the center,and ecological problems are fundamentally social problems caused by various factors.Since the middle of last century,people have gradually realized the possible harm of modern industrial pollution to the earth,so it is necessary to start from the social level and solve ecological problems from the human perspective.It was at the end of the last century that ecological Marxism developed into the third stage.David Pepper emphasized the special status of human in nature,and constantly explored the ecological connotation of Marx’s theory to promote the "red-green alliance".The purpose was to effectively improve the degradation of ecological environment and social injustice,and fundamentally change the capitalist system.Establish ecological socialism system to realize ecological justice and social justice,and finally realize communism.These researches and analyses make Pepper’s ecological thought have important practical value.This paper is divided into four chapters.As a basic research on the character thought,it introduces the overall sources of David Pepper’s eco-socialism thought,including the social roots and the theoretical roots.This paper tries to understand Pepper’s eco-socialism thought and theoretical system with the method of holistic thinking and historical analysis.The first chapter explains the structure and source of Pepper’s thought and introduces the main content of Pepper’s thought of ecological justice.This chapter begins with the concept of ecological justice,analyzes the connotation of the concept itself and the difference between the concept and similar concepts,and explains the Marxist philosophical foundation and value target of ecological justice thought in detail.Secondly,Peiper’s definition of ecological justice is taken as the realization path of ecological justice as part of ecological Marxism theory system.The second chapter explains Pepper’s ecological justice thought and his conception of the realization path of ecological justice.Based on the essence of ecological justice and the value goal of ecological Marxism,this paper analyzes the correlation between ecological justice and social justice,and specifically demonstrates the relationship between ecological justice and social justice from the perspective of ecological philosophy and social practice.The third chapter introduces and analyzes the connotation of social justice and different theories of social justice in order to serve as the basis for the comparison of social justice in Pepper ecological Marxist theory.The fourth chapter explains the value and limitation of Pepper’s ecological justice thought and puts forward some suggestions combining ecological civilization construction.The ecological thought represented by Pepper’s ecological justice is analyzed historically and dialectically,its advantages and disadvantages are understood,and then the research is carried out in combination with contemporary social conditions.Pepper’s thought of ecological justice is not only used for environmental protection,but also for practical application.Therefore,the study of environmental issues is only a part of it.The innovation of this paper is to combine his ecological political philosophy with reality and explain it using interdisciplinary scientific concepts.At the end of the article,combined with the international and domestic social conditions,ecological problems into social problems,from the social perspective,the international perspective of ecological civilization construction and the analysis of the world ecological problems.
