Study On Zhou Dunyi’s Integrity Personality

Integrity personality is the sum of integrity psychology and integrity behavior formed by political individuals under the influence of external environment and acquired education,which can influence the behavior pattern and thinking pattern of political individuals.According to the components of political psychology,integrity psychology can be divided into integrity cognition,integrity consciousness and integrity emotion,and added to the integrity behavior of political individuals,thus constituting a complete integrity personality.Taking Zhou Dunyi,a famous integrity official of the Northern Song Dynasty,as the research object,we analyze the factors influencing the formation of Zhou Dunyi’s integrity personality in the light of the political policies and cultural atmosphere of the Northern Song Dynasty,his family environment,social circle and personal practice,and distill the main contents and characteristics of his integrity personality through the major events he experienced as an official,so as to promote the concretization of integrity personality research.During his thirty years of political practice,Zhou Dunyi developed the integrity cognition of being a pragmatic official for the people,the integrity emotion of being a person who loves the fragrance of lotus and the integrity will of being a righteous and self-disciplined politician,which is manifested in the personality traits of diligence,love for the people,indifference to fame and fortune,impartiality and self-discipline.Zhou Dunyi’s integrity personality has the characteristics of plasticity,stability and sociality,which constantly promotes the realization of Zhou Dunyi’s personal values and the improvement of the political climate of the Northern Song Dynasty,and also influences and drives Zhou’s children and grandchildren to adhere to integrity in politics,which shows that Zhou Dunyi’s integrity personality has important practical value.Party members and cadres are the "key minority" in promoting the construction of party style and integrity,and they need to cultivate and shape their integrity personality to build a personal bottom line of anti-corruption and anti-corruption.The case study of Zhou Dunyi’s integrity personality is used to explore the path and method for Party members and cadres to cultivate integrity personality,which is conducive to Party members and cadres in the new era to firmly uphold the concept of integrity in politics and integrity beliefs.Party members and cadres should learn from Zhou Dunyi’s nutrition of being an official for the people and establish the value of governing for the people;they should learn from Zhou Dunyi’s nutrition of loving the lotus alone and establish the pursuit of integrity in politics;they should learn from Zhou Dunyi’s nutrition of being upright and self-disciplined and refine the character of integrity and self-discipline.
