| Today’s working women must balance raising and educating children at home with working long hours. Many working mothers face a growing conflict between work and family, hampered by societal expectations of dual work-life roles.Working mothers today must balance work and family duties. In addition to raising and educating their children, working mothers must also complete work tasks at work.As a result,work-family conflicts have grown more prevalent among working mothers, seriously hindering their career advancement. The conflict between work and family, career development, and the willingness of working mothers to have more children are more and more studied due to the pressures of multiple demands on their time.Work pressure for working mothers cannot be alleviated if they do not receive strong support.Work pressure will affect their work passion, efficiency, and greatly reduce their willingness to have children. In order to provide theoretical support for working mothers’ career development, this paper explores the relationship between work-family conflict, work stress,work-family support, and psychological resilience. The first study involved qualitative interviews with 25 working mothers.Based on study 1,study 2 tested 810 working mothers. In study 3,40 working mothers with high work pressure and low psychological resilience were divided into experimental and control groups, based on their work pressure and psychological resilience. In order to reduce job stress,a group tutoring program based on interactive reading was developed, while the control group did not receive such tutoring.A total of eight group counseling sessions based on rational emotive therapy were given to 40 working mothers with high work-family conflict and low psychological resilience index in Study 4 to further reduce work-family conflict and enhance psychological resilience.According to the results:1.Education and age do not appear to affect work stress,work-family conflict, worksocial support, and career growth among working mothers.2.Working mothers’ career growth is positively correlated with work-family support and mental resilience, whereas career growth is negatively correlated with work stress and work-family conflict;Work stress is negatively correlated with work-family support, career growth and mental resilience, whereas work-family support has a positive correlation with both career growth and mental resilience.3.There is a complete mediation between work-family support and work stress for work-family conflict and career growth of working mothers, while mental resilience of women in the workplace is a complete mediation between career growth,work-family conflict, stress, and family support.4.Working mothers can benefit from group psychological counseling and grow in their careers as a result.Based on the results, working mother career growth is positively affected by workfamily support(promotion speed, increase in remuneration),and working mothers’ mental resilience plays a critical role in their career growth(improvement of professional abilities, development of social abilities). It has been demonstrated that interactive reading group counseling can reduce the work pressure of working mothers.A rational emotive therapy group intervention can significantly enhance the psychological resilience of working mothers and reduce the conflict between work and family. |
