A Study On The Definition Of New Words In The Vocabulary List Of The Comprehensive Teaching Materials Of Chinese As A Foreign Language

The definition of new words is not only the first step for Chinese learners to understand the meaning of Chinese,but also the direct way for Chinese learners to understand the meaning of Chinese.There are a total of 1960 new words in the vocabulary list of HSK Standard Course(Volume 6).The quantity and difficulty of new words have been greatly improved,and the requirements for the definition of new words are higher and more difficult.The definition of new words is worth studying.This paper selects the new words in the vocabulary list of HSK Standard Course(Volume 6)as the research object,adopts the research methods of literature research and qualitative analysis,and firstly classifies the definition of the new words in the vocabulary list.Then,it investigates and analyzes the definition of new words in the new words list from the aspects of combination,accuracy,conciseness and explanation of grammar or usage conditions.Finally,based on the above analysis,it focuses on discussing the deficiencies of the definition of new words and puts forward corresponding suggestions for improvement.Through the research,it is found that the definition of new words in this textbook is close to the context of the text,with a high degree of conciseness.Besides,it also pays more attention to the explanation of the grammar or usage conditions of some special parts of words or some difficult words.But there are still some problems to be improved in the way of definition and its accuracy.From the perspective of definition,there are some problems,such as the unitary definition pattern of new words and the lack of unity of part-of-speech tagging.From the perspective of the accuracy of the definition,there are some problems,such as the synonym definition is not strong,the definition of new words is not enough to explain the meaning.Based on this,we think that the definition of new words should be added to the target language,flexibly adopt various definition modes,unify the standard of part-of-speech tagging,and unify the definition mode of similar new words.At the same time,in order to make the definition more accurate,we should make good use of the annotated meaning,the definition of new words to avoid too simple,add example sentences.Through the research of this paper,on the one hand,the definition of new words in the new words list of HSK Standard Course(Volume 6)is understood,enriching the study in the field of the definition of new words in the textbook.On the other hand,it also provides some references for the definition of new words in the textbook,making the textbook more perfect in the definition of new words.
