With the increasing demand for traditional culture,the cultural content of site museums has become the main goal of people’s cultural learning.However,the existing methods of site protection and dissemination still cannot meet the protection and dissemination of cultural information in site museums;At the same time,with the arrival of the digital era,the dissemination and protection effectiveness of traditional heritage museums is gradually declining,and it is urgent to promote the digital protection and dissemination of heritage museums.In response to the protection and dissemination of heritage museums,as well as the activation of cultural information in heritage museums,this article proposes to use the form of serious games as the design carrier,combined with game design theories such as activity theory,DMC framework,and game mechanism,aiming to expand the cultural expression forms of heritage museums and reduce the difficulty of learning cultural content in heritage museums while protecting them,Promote the effective protection and dissemination of cultural resources in site museums.Firstly,this topic analyzes the existing theoretical achievements in serious game design,summarizes and analyzes their characteristics and composition methods,uses activity theory as a reference to determine user motivation,explores the characteristics and needs of heritage museums,and combines specific case studies to build a serious game design model for heritage museums,providing a basis for game design strategies and practical output of game design.Based on the previous serious game theory and user demand research results,the article outputs a serious game design strategy for the Lifesaving Museum on the basis of the DMC model.In terms of game structure,it is proposed in the power layer to match level tasks with activity motivation to guide comprehensive activity behavior;The mechanism layer proposes to use a gradual mechanism to drive the emergence mechanism,optimize the narrative expression and gaming experience of the game;The aesthetic layer proposes to establish game components through material layer culture,enhance cultural protection and audio-visual experience.Finally,the author conducted preliminary theoretical and strategic verification and game testing on the design of the "Life Saving Adventure" serious game.Combining with the ATMSG serious game design and evaluation model,the game was optimized and iterated from three aspects:learning effect,entertainment effect,and site protection effect,providing reference for serious game design for site museums.
