A Study On Empathy In Realistic Youth Movies(2015-2022)

After 2015,with the promulgation of national policies and the guidance of market consumption,the creation of realistic films in China has flourished.Under this influence,a large number of "realistic youth films" that explore the real growth issues of current youth groups based on public social events have received high praise and praise for their strong sense of reality.If the "nostalgic youth films" of 2013 reflect the post-80 s generation’s escape from current life and the fleeting touch of social problems,then the "realistic youth films" of 2015 are a mirror that reflects the current reality,breaking the filter of nostalgia and fantasy and the constraints of campus love through the "growth process",placing young people in a broader social context,presenting the interweaving and collision between young people and the complex external environment.It can be said that the stories told in the "Realistic Youth Movies" after 2015 are closely related to the audience’s growth experience,which is in line with the psychology of young people expressing anxiety and longing for healing,enhancing the audience’s emotional immersion.In addition,the Realistic Youth Movies of this period are rooted in the current society,exposing the darkness and contradictions hidden in the depths of society through real events,and showcasing social development and the spirit of the times through diverse youth cultures,Recognize the values conveyed by the film in terms of cognition.For movies,this emotional contagion and conceptual identification is a necessary emotional pathway to connect creators,texts,and audiences.Therefore,it is necessary to discuss this phenomenon.This article takes the empathy theory in psychology as the starting point,and uses text analysis and in-depth interview methods to systematically analyze the empathy construction and empathy projection of realistic youth films after 2015 from the perspectives of creators and audiences.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part summarizes the realistic return process of youth films in China and the realistic representations of youth films after2015;The second part studies the empathy connotation of realistic youth films after 2015,analyzing from three aspects: the warm protection of character relationships,the frustration and pain of tragic experiences,and the construction of self-awareness.The third part,from the perspective of the creator,analyzes the empathetic image narrative of the post 2015 realistic youth film,exploring how the film expresses the emotions and environmental atmosphere of the characters from both sound and visuals,thereby creating an aesthetic experience of "me and the characters experiencing together" and arousing empathy among the audience.The fourth part of this article uses the "Empathy Dynamic Model" proposed by scholar Liu Conghui as the theory,and combines in-depth interviews to summarize the viewing experience of realistic youth films after 2015.It then concludes that the audience will experience dynamic psychological processes of emotional empathy,cognitive empathy,and behavioral empathy when watching.
